I think it’s one of those things you might get used to, but I found the tugging on the wheel a bit intrusive on the narrow country roads where I live. So for this reason I disable it when driving on narrow countryside roads.

On a motorway or dual carriageway though it’s brilliant, and when used with inteligent cruise it’s a dream.
Hmm ok I guess I’ll just wait and see. Probably end up turning it off most times. Thanks for the info ??

Same here, lane centering doesn't work on minor or twisty roads, but is fantastic on A-Roads, dual carriageway and motorways, especially combined with cruise.

I’m in the habit now of just turning it off first thing when I get going. The slight tugging can be annoying if you leave it on. But, as above, it’s great on the main roads when you can stick it on with intelligent cruise control. Although, I don’t seem great at holding the wheel tight enough as it often flashes at me, so sometimes I just go with the intelligent cruise control and do the steering myself…?

Anyone know why my Ohme charger location for my home is showing as Reading when I live in London? I have tried lots of stuff and can’t get it to change.
My Mach-E’s home charge location is way out. I’m in GU16 and It says KT11
I tried my local Aldi charge station today, as it’s free and the location is ME9!

Of course the other reason to turn off the lane keep assist is so that the speed display moves to the centre of the screen - and then you get to see all the cool background animations they spent ages developing. ?

Question for the group on Android Auto.

Has anybody been using it.

I've been using the Ford navigation and found it fine.
Wanted to try Google maps on Android and it's a world of pain.

Phone has to be connected to car by cable for AA to work, is that correct.

It can take three or for goes to get it working, and each time i have to select my phone from a list and push a connect to AA deep in the menus. This can not be right.

If i can get it to work it's very slow 3,4 seconds on each button push.

Is this how it works or have i just got a rubbish phone. Samsung 7 note.

How are you all getting on with AA.
Works fine for me and I have a blackberry key2 on Oreo.

Strangely it even runs AA wireless so I only use the cable to keep charging it as it doesn't have wireless charging on my phone.

I suggest you search for a specific samsung phone forum for tips just like I did with the blackberry.

Or look at the andriod central forums.

Also check settings in AA itself as they might stop you having to select it each time. Run andriod auto on its own via the phone and select settings.

I am using AA with a Samsung Galaxy S10+ and it is brilliant, apart from it won't display charging points. I am using it wirelessly. I do know that AA will not work wirelessly with some phones. What you need to do is open the AA app on your phone, click the 3 bars top left, go to settings and about 3/4 down the page you will have a button to turn on Wireless AA. If this button isn't there then your phone won't work wirelessly so you will have to use a cable.

MME RR ER RWD ?
Country flag
Hi all,

My car is no longer recognising me ?

When I approach the car (with both key and phone) the car no longer detects me - I'm sure it used to and you would hear the car "wake up" and it would for example turn on the light on the door buttons etc. (or am I imagining this ?)

I can still unlock the car OK and it recognises my profile in the car - nothing has changed as far as I am aware and I can't find anything in the manual.

Any thoughts and help would be appreciated ?
Thanks, David

I’ve had similar experiences where the car doesn’t always wake up as I approach - and I managed to put it down to having other things in the same pocket as the keyfob.

If I just have the fob in my pocket it works fine - if anything else is in there it doesn’t wake the car, but will unlock the door if I press the button. I figured it was radio interference or a low battery in the fob.

I also have had the same. I don't keep anything other than my fob in my pocket but I have come to the conclusion that if the car is unlocked but falls asleep it doesn't wake up when you approach but the buttons are still active. When the car is locked it seems to wake up, ie lights come on as do puddle lights and button illuminates.

I haven’t seen anyone else jump in on this one - so I will. :)

First off don’t worry - if you charge your battery to 100% you will be storing about 88kWh of electricity every time (certainly for the first few years.)

What is changing every time you charge to 100% are the external factors that the car uses to estimate your range. These include how hot or cold the weather is, how hard you have been driving the car since you got it, and what accessories you might be using (aircon etc)

The reduction on total range you are seeing is becuase the car is calculating that you use more energy per mile than the default setting was at delivery. It’s learning your driving habits (be they good or bad).

You can reset the driving history which will likely improve your range estimates back up to where they were before - but these may end up being unrealistic based on your driving style and will drop again after time.

Any questions - give me a shout.
Thanks a ton !!!

One week did about 950 miles. It was all good with the car and drive but when I charged last night its showing me 100% charge @280 miles. I had 343 for 100% initial few days. Dealer was saying it will settle in 2-3 weeks?? is it true? Mine RWD Extended range. I'm not taking about consumption but battery charge capacity. Is there an issue with my battery pack? Please share your stats.
Had my ext raange for 3000 miles never got above 286 range at 100%.I don't drive it particularly fast and am a tad dissapointed with the range I am getting
