MME RR ER RWD ?

Hi all,

The votes have now been counted on the Failed OTA review ?

The result from the submitted responses is ..........

Failed OTAs - 8
Successful OTAs - 2

Not a particularly large sample or the most scientific review, but is indicative of a potential problem, or perhaps a lack of information as to how the OTA process works.

Either way, I'll post the results to the Ford account in the morning (Thursday), and see if we can get some sort of resolution to the issue ?

Many thanks
David

Switching off the automatic update resulted in an instant popup to sync my Fordpass profile I had made before I picked up the car. Its useless now so I deleted it.

So my Ford Pass presented the connect option for the first time which lead me to checking the status.
Ordered 28th June
Modem activation 7th July
According to the whereismymme site the car is built and was last started two days ago… but the shipment isn’t due to leave until 12th August.
Based on what I’ve read elsewhere here that probably puts it on about a late October ETA with the dealer at the earliest (month and a bit to get to the Netherlands, then the usual wait before it gets to the UK etc etc).
I’m simultaneously excited that my car actually exists and depressed that I still have to wait ?

Hi @portlandg
Hopefully we'll get to the bottom of this - as @Coolcatshaft said, it's interesting that you and Tone seem to be OK and had the dealer apply the eCall update ?
Just wanted to clarify - I didn't have the dealer do the eCall update. I opted to rely solely on the OTA version of the eCall fix to update my car as an experiment. All worked fine, and was installed along with Ford Power-Up 1.3.0. I'm hoping for the next Power-Up OTA sometime around 6th August.

I know this may sound like a silly question and I am certain someone will take umbridge but I will ask anyway. To those of you who are getting notifications of failed updates, are you certain you have your sync set up properly. I have received 2 without issue. This is what my sync looks like.

Do you get a notification that the update was successful in the app?
Like you do when it says unsuccessful.

Yes I did. Both times
I’ve not had any successful updates then.
I assumed it only notified you when they were not successful, as I’ve never had a successful notification.
Must be trying again on the same one.
I’ll check my settings.

I'm sure @portlandg is going to love this...!!!

So I'm picking up my MME on Saturday, and my dealer has told me that he cannot get the Ford Credit agreement (which was approved online when ordering) out of the system as Ford Credit are having 'IT Issues'. He has said he needs to re-propose the finance agreement at the dealership.

A few things worry me about this....and I've asked him to clarify.....will the APR remain the same (I got 4.8% and now its 4.9%), and also this will be another "hard search" on my credit report which has already taken a battering.

UPDATE: Confirmed that it will still be 4.8%

Please don't get me wrong, my dealer is brilliant, with excellent communication, and he has been on to Ford Credit a LOT to try and resolve this. We exchange 10's of emails everyday trying to resolve this, so by no means is this in any way the dealers fault.

My main point being, this whole online ordering malarky is just so messed up and stressful both to the customer and the dealer.

Can you imagine now....if the re-proposal is denied......I'm screwed.

Already paid my deposit and everything.

I will update you all on the outcome of this....

I'm baffled, and it doesn't take a lot these days, but if your dealer cannot get your approved agreement from the system because of 'IT issues' then I am at a loss to understand how he thinks he can get a new agreement. He would, I assume, use the same system as before but that system has IT issues. Best of luck.

Hi all

Ordered my car on 27 July and should be with the dealer by early September. Was initially a 12-16 week wait when I ordered :) I'm thinking of a Wallbox charger as it can be a dumb charger (in case of WIFi issues) as well as a smart charger and no need for an earth rod. Can anyone recommend any charger installers in the Derbyshire area please? I did go straight to the Wallbox site but there was a notice that quotes are not being provided at the moment. Time is getting short and I'm panicking slightly.

Thanks.

Well I've just sent him my entire life story to make the application, so I'm currently sitting here stressed right out waiting for the result.

Good luck - I'm sure it will go through just fine :)

Through no fault of anybody’s mine ended up being run through three times over the space of a month because of changes. While they all went through fine my credit score took quite a hit because of it. Went from a 999 to a 928 - I’m sure it’ll recover of the next couple of months. ?

Well, it appears that Ford Credit still think I'm creditworthy.....I've just electronically signed the contract at home.

Was a bit weird, so I gave the dealer all my personal info. He then applied on my behalf.

I get an email from FC with a passcode that I have to supply to my dealer.

I then receive the contract as email attachments and a link to a website.

I had to verify my DL number, and a few credit report questions, upload a picture of my driving licence and then I could sign.

All in all, a massive faff, but I no longer care. Musty is coming home with me on Saturday!!!

I'm sure now, like @Wonky_Donkey, my credit report is now not very enjoyable.

His is better than mine though. I dropped from excellent to fair. Not impressed.
