So looks like I'll finally pick my MME up next week. I've been rocking around in a courtesy they gave me loan of whilst I wait. The courtesy is an AWD and mine only a RWD. Kind of gutted I have to give back the AWD. It's like, "look at what you could have had!".

Anyway, I was up checking my car on Friday and they have advised that all software updates and ecall fix complete. However, whilst PTI/ etis is showing software update, it is still showing recall required. I thought I'd give it a couple of days to get through the system but still the same.

Anyone experience the same? I would have thought recalls have to be clear by dealer before they release the car! I queried and they assured me it was done but I'm not happy taking the car whilst it's still flagging as an issue.

Thanks
The recall notice for mine showed for quite a few days on ETIS. Nearly a week. It eventually cleared.

Sasha - your car seems to have a mind of it’s own. You sure you didn’t name it HAL or something?

Joking aside I think there are variants of SYNC4 for RWD/AWD differences, and for Tech+ / Non Tech+ models (Extended battery)

Looks like they have been a bit over agressive on tidying up the AWD SR software options and have deleted the option to turn that off - even though the distance indicator shouldn’t be on your model in the first place (at least I don’t think it should)

Pray for an OTA that will actually install itself and fix these bugs for you.
I have AWD SR - I’ve turned off the blue block fine. What I have found though is I didn’t realise the seat saving buttons on the door are actually profiles. so if you start saving different seat positions under different numbers, the profile also changes. Which means if you’ve not changed anything else in that profile it will be in default. May only be me, but I thought things were not saving at first, until I realised what I was doing.

I don’t have a button on the settings to turn it off. It’s missing for some reason.

Who knows… my car has not had a software update since the week it was built, way back in Feb. I’ve raised the issue with Ford about 2 weeks ago, but I’ve ot heard anything back. It’s bizarre.

I’m pretty happy with this, considering how heavy footed I am!

Can I get some advice. I’m at a charge point waiting to get to 80%. I’m on holiday and there are not many fast chargers on IOW. Someone had turned up waiting. Do I just charge to 80% (30 mins more) or move? This is my first time fast charging.

I had my ecall fix done by my dealer and also had the OTA update done successfully it took a couple of weeks for the recall message to go. I also got a letter from Ford last week (dated 6 July) saying that it needed to go to my dealer or wait for an OTA update. Just goes to show how slow their systems are. If your car is showing SYNC 4 software version :21139_Product revision:263 then you have had the ecall fix and are up to date

Charge point etiquette! Always tough the first time. But you were there first and most ev Owners would be happy to wait for you to finish.
Just a thought but is there a pub, cafe etc nearby? If so tell them to leave their car by yours, take their phone number and tell them to get a coffee and you'll call them when you are close to finishing.

We go on holiday to the IOW twice a year until Covid interrupted it. We will be going May next year for 2 weeks. My only concern is the lack of charging infrastructure there. The owners of our holiday cottage may put a charger in for us but it's touch and go. Looking at Zap Map and Plugshare reveals the lack of decent chargers. I have complained to the IOW Council about lack of chargers. I know it's a small island but we have to refill our CX5 twice to the brim when there as we like to tour round. The population practically doubles in spring/summer due to tourism. Has anyone on here had good/bad charging experiences?

I used the BP Pulse in the ferry car park it’s 50kw. There isn’t anything higher that 50kw on the island I think.
