I fitted mine myself. Suction pad to windscreen, route cable around interior trim and plugged into USB plug under centre display screen. Took me all of 20 mins and even turns on/off when I push start/stop button.
Thanks Graham, that’s a good idea, I temporarily plugged my last one into a cigarette lighter for two years so wanted something more permanent, but hidden there sound like a plan. i may need a dash cam with the USB end though.

Hi all,

No posts since Saturday evening - very eery ?

I wanted to ask how many of us are on Octopus Go or a similar electricity company that provides a special "EV Tariff" ?

The reason being that, as I think has been mentioned here before, with Octopus Go their tariff is from 00:30 to 04:30 ...... but the MME "Charging Schedule" only allows for scheduling charging "on the hour".

So, I am "losing" an hours potential charging, as I have to set it from 01:00 to 04:00.

The "Departure Scheduler" on the FordPass App however allows you to specify times to the nearset 5 minutes ?

I was going to log this with the MME esales team, so thought I'd see how many other Octopus Go or those with other providers were affected by this.

I'm on Octopus Go Faster which is 20:30 to 01:30 @ 5.5p kwh.

I dont use the car for scheduling, I use the Zappi, which allows schedules at any time you like.

Here is my response to Mandy following the email she sent Friday:

Given your answers, and the fact that the car is going to improve with OTA updates over the next 12 months, I’m happy to wait for most of the points I’ve raised. Although I should point out that I’m not satisfied with the fact that all these were part of the original selling points and the fact they would not be available, should have been pointed out before we purchased the cars.

I would also like to raise a couple of points relating to what I feel are still currently outstanding issues:

1. Ambient Lighting - I note you are waiting for an answer to this but, in the meantime, I have to say I do not see this as just a ‘nice to have’ feature of my car. This was, very much, a major part of what sold it to me.

What you must bear in mind is that I only had the Ford website available when I chose this car and paid my deposit.

There were no cars available to test drive or even have a look at. This makes it even more critical that the information on the website was correct. Which we know it wasn’t.

4. Walk Away Lock - This does not work as you have described. It has never worked on the car.

I’ve shared your response with the UK forum members and not one has been able to get this to work.

Would you please readdress this issue.

7. Out Of Stock Items - I don’t find this a satisfactory answer. You have advertised the items I want at 25% and 30% off for the last 6 months. Due to our error I have not been able to order these items.

You are now telling me to go to my dealer who is going to charge me full price.

This is unacceptable.

I hope we can sort something out here where I can get the items at the reduced price.
Totally agree that I too have received a car that wasn’t as advertised. I do like it and it drives OK I just would like what I thought I’d payed for.

I'm on octopus Go and am using the EO app for the charger to schedule. A little annoying as you get "charger paused" notifications and "accidental unplug" etc as it may not have reached its target charge. But works ok and saves money

I can confirm your vehicle is currently on the MSC Cristiana vessel from Veracruz and is due to dock into Europe within three weeks on the 11thSeptember.



Your vehicle has a current ETA for UK delivery at the beginning of November. The vehicles go into Antwerp at our Inspection Centre for an estimated 5-10 weeks. After the quality checks are completed, the vehicles are transported through Flushing onto Dagenham.



We are sincerely sorry about the mistake that has been made, I am very happy to keep you updated on the progress of your vehicle with regular updates.

Just saw the plug and charge option in the Ford pass app. Once enabled it shows ionity as the only compatible network. Anyone tried this out? How did it go? (Assuming it automatically bills whatever card you assigned to the Ford pass card)

Yes I get the mysterious blue line. I also have a navigation system that shuts down three seconds after I open it. Annoying to say the least. Anyone know the best way to raise this with Ford? The software seems a bit glitchy on DAB and other apps. Maybe it needs rebooting? Any ideas out there?
I had the same navigation issue yesterday. Crashed immediately after opening, every time.

Screen reset fixed it. Volume down and track skip forward on the steering wheel for five seconds.

Just a word of warning for anyone trying to gain access to the 12v battery.

I followed the instructions to remove the top panel in the frunk and then the right panel.
When removing the centre top panel…..which indeed takes some tugging….one of the retaining clips has gone deep down behind the “frunk box” never to be seen again. The clips that are in the plastic cover are not fixed to the plastic cover and indeed slide out quite easily. Photo to follow

I’m on Octopus Go ? and using a dumb charger. I set charge time on the Mach-E from 1am to 5am. I find the car charges quicker than it actually schedules and finishes well before 4:30am.
I do mess around with the charge percentage a lot to make sure its finishing within the slotted time though.

Huh?- more background info please, who told you this? If it's any consolation my MME got to Antwerp early ish July, and it may be at my dealers now or if not tomorrow. So 5-10 weeks is covering their bums!

have you checked the website for available stock, available within two weeks? There are a few specs and colours available.
I believe Ford will allow you to cancel your order and pick one up that is already here, your spec and colour may be on there.
I collected mine in about 10 days.

I emailed Hannah and this was her response. Ford had sent me an email with a vin which is not mine.
