That is awesome news - and I'm sorry I missed that bit. Apologies @SashaLondonAnd…. Apple Watch App is Back !
So what are people's opinion for those whose cars are still in transit to the UK - yet to go via Antwerp - is this something that will be resolved at Antwerp? Was the previous recall addressed in Antwerp for those vehicles in transit? All dealers, I know mine has, should have received this notice by now so I suggest you get in touch with them for further information.
After following up the news from Canada early this week, we will soon announce recall actions on certain Mustang Mach-E vehicles that may have an inadequately adhered front windscreen or panoramic roof glass panel.
We have received no reports of glass separating from vehicles and customers are able to continue to drive their vehicles until the recall service is available.
Please note we are working with authorities on the next steps for these recall actions and have informed our dealers. We will proactively contact customers soon with plans for any required updates to their vehicle.
With the inclusion of the word 'certain' in the first paragraph I would assume that it is NOT ALL cars but those in a specific build range. We will just have to wait and see. At least they haven't put a "stop drive" order in place so I assume that Ford are happy (ish) that it isn't a major issue.
On the downside. The BP fast chargers which I earlier drove by are blocked in by petrol heads queing for petrol. Bit of an inconvenience if you are unable to charge at home. How many of you who, like me, have a great big cheesy grin and smug faces at the moment. There is a petrol station near where I work and all roads are chockablock with cars queueing for liquid fuel. Horns blaring, red faces and lots of swearing. My car is sat outside trickle charging on the granny lead. ??
I don't think we ever truly worked out what was actually done to our cars in Antwerp. So what are people's opinion for those whose cars are still in transit to the UK - yet to go via Antwerp - is this something that will be resolved at Antwerp? Newer stuff fresh from the assembly line? According to whereismymme.com my car was built on 1st July driven onto the MSC Cristiana 18 August and is still on there due in Anterp later this month!.... but you would hope that the newer stuff coming fresh from the assembly line in Mexico would not have the issue as it had been identified and hopefully rectified on the line.
When I say “fresh off the line” - I totally acknowledge that there’s a mahooooosive wait for it to get here afterwards. I feels like forever I know.Newer stuff fresh from the assembly line? Hanah advised "Once the vehicle arrives at the Inspection Centre in Antwerp, it will proceed through four checkpoints in a series of quality control checks. The estimated overall time this takes is between 5-10 weeks." maybe the 10 weeks is anticipating this recall?
Check the suspension shipping blocks chocs have not been left on. The ride is quite stiff for cornering stability which is the penalty to pay for a heavy SUV like car.UK folks, anyone done anything to smoothen the ride? Any hacks?
