it isn't bad at all without eheat.

outside temp last week ranged from 4-12c.

even at the lower temps, the inside of the Mustang was comfortable with just steering and seat warming.

i don't wear a coat inside and when i go to the gym, i have only my track jacket.

i haven't done long distance in this manner yet, so can't comment on how it will feel then.

Ambient temp 10C right now. This is what I get with no eheat and only seat and steering warming

we have a Ford dealer where i live and he tells me all his stock is sold out. i don't know where they have gone, since the town i live in isn't large and i am yet to see one.

i think i will have a better chance of spotting a T-Rex than the pony.
The way the central Ford order system works for Mach-E allows for doorstep delivery for a number of dealers. That's how I managed to get my quick order fulfilled, I got super lucky with a last minute cancellation with People's Edinburgh (who were excellent by the way) which I managed to land on the website & had shipped down to Surrey for an additional £450. Maybe 3 weeks from order to delivery. The extra money I made on my Jaguar used sale during the current delays more than made up for it. I'll get all my services covered by my local dealer in Epsom.

I tried the seat/wheel heating trick to test mileage saving (wouldn't use this day to day but have one annual journey which is around the 220 miles range) and I was fine from a comfort perspective, didn't even need a coat :), but I couldn't stop the front & side windows from fogging up? In the end I need to enable the front fans on low just to clear up the windows but wondered if anyone else has figured this out?

So, I've had extended drives of both the Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 and also Polestar 2 (people at work have these and we have used each others cars for 24 hours as a comparison for our Fleet Team). I think the Mach-E looks the best but feedback from the others on the drive experience was bad, particularly the bounce. Having driven the others, I agree that the Mach-E (which I've now clocked up 13500 miles in) is by far the worse as far as bounce/drive.

The Ioniq has everything on it Tech wise but I just don't like the look.
The Polestar 2 is quick...very quick, basic inside and looks like a lego Mondeo.
The Ev6 looks fantastic, is quick, has all the tech and drives brilliantly (wish I'd have waited for this now)
...but I still love the Mach-E, apart from the ride, which I have come to just accept but now I've driven the others I can't help but feel that Ford have got to sort it out.

I give a 5-10 min blast with windscreen heating which turns on the fan as well. that clears up the fog. in fact that 4.8 mls/kwh was after such a blast.

Out of interest, did the ChargePlace Scotland (CPS) in Aberfoyle work for you? If yes, how did you pay for it (direct or via a CPS membership card)?
It was the same with the charger in Aberfoyle, couldnt get it to charge the car using the DC charger. No problem with using the AC which is what I ended up doing each day. I have the CPS RFID card, which was only needed to authorise the charger, there was no cost to charge on either AC or DC.

SecuriAlert is available in UK - has been since FordPass app version 3.26

If you are on the latest version …

Click the “Vehicle” tab at the bottom of the app
Scroll down to “Safety & Security” and expand it out
Click on SecuriAlert tile

From there you can manually turn it on and off, or set up schedules for when you want it to be active.

Just checking … in UK we don’t have Blue Cruise, right? Due to regulatory issues …

Sigh....that's why I've renamed mine "Tigger" in Ford Pass.......

The rollout of BlueCruise in UK is due to happen at some point (hence why our Tech Pack (ER) models were fitted with the driver attention sensors above the steering wheel)

Main holdups are Ford rolling out to US market first (which has been delayed), self driving legislation catching up with the technology (some laws to help this have been passed), software rollout, & mapping of UK roads.

It will come eventually ?

OK - that sucks! Has your car received Power-Up 1.4 ? It needs that in combination with the latest FordPass version for SecuriAlert to be active.

My car went to the doctors again today to try and fix the ongoing issue with my welcome/puddle lights. Service manager told me that he thought that there was an update available but wasn't sure if it would help as they are not told what the updates do or are far. Oh well, let's try it.
I am beginning to think that our car updates are like the FordPass app updates. You get used to using one thing, along comes an update and you lose what you have been used to using and get something irrelevant in it's place. As soon as I got back in the car and started it up there was a problem. I like to have my displays permanently set to dark. On starting, my main screen was light. Went to the settings to change it and noticed it was STILL set on dark but screen was light. Couldn't change it. All settings kept it on light. Drivers display still OK though. Have gained the notes button when you touch the profile button. Can't for the life of me think where that will be useful. Sync version has changed but car still says I am on power up 1.6.0. Looks like it will be going back to doctors AGAIN. For a £50,000 car I am disappointed with these issues. Updates are supposed to improve things NOT make them worse. Come on Ford. Get your act together.
