Where did you see that? The opening with the basil fawlty foot move?
It would seem that it was a bit of an unexpected move on Ford’s behalf. My 2022 was supposed to have it, but hasn’t been built yet. I guess it now won’t have it :(

Ahhh that's poor in my opinion. I wonder if it's been removed from the kuga.

I think the general consensus why they did it was parts shortages.

Allegedly the hands free boot sensor was the biggest reason so many part built vehicles are sitting in Mexico right now with a “Chip Hold” on them. This way they can now ship those vehicles and clear the backlog

Unfortunately they don’t seem to have communicated this to the customers who are waiting for vehicles that should have had it included. Maybe they are passing that job onto the dealers.

It's still showing/not been removed from the UK price list
Yeah - I noticed the UK spec and price list hasn't been updated since the price increases in November 2021.

Also worth mentioning that it appears the acoustic glass is being dropped as well (although you can't blame chip shortages for that)

It's an interesting trend in the motor industry at the moment to drop features based on supply chain issues.

There's an article about it here....

Meanwhile, there are quite a few OTA updates to come for us in the UK. I am still stuck on 1.7.1. Who knows when we would get any of it.

Acoustic glass isn't on the spec list so they can get away with that but if cars arrive without the specified foot opener they're in trouble. It's a bit moronic to lower the spec like that in my opinion.

The problem is they clearly state that they reserve the right to chance specification at any time so unless it’s a requested spec nothing is guaranteed!!

Don't buy into that marketing B/S.

If it's in the price list it's included or expect legal come back. Or are you suggesting if I buy a car that is awd and it turns up with rwd, I have no come back!

Just quoting what’s shown on the website under specification. It’s written there clear as day

There would be trouble if you are given an invoice with the spec missing but up to that point that’s fine.

Just had an email from Ford confirming that my windscreen WILL be refitted/replaced along with the other email confirming glass roof resealing. My poor car.? The timescale is between now and May depending on build date. Mine was built on 9th June 2021. They imply that a car will be provided for the duration of the repair.

I'd rather have a car missing a minor feature, on time, than one which sat in the docks for months waiting for a microchip.

I have the recall letter from the leasing company. It says to wait for the dealer to contact me. In the Ford pass app, it says to book an appointment. Should I contact them to book the windscreen fix or wait for them to message me?
