Updates coming thick and fast at the moment. Had 2.1.0 last week. Just got this notification this evening

Very interesting. App says update successful, car says I'm still on 2.1.0. However my sync 4 software version has changed to 21281 -244 which is in line with @Wonky_Donkey's power up guide from earlier. My intelligent cruise control has changed according to the details of the update and HOORAY I have my dark screen back. Happy days. Something obviously happend and so far for the better. Time will tell. Can't see what else has changed at the moment.

+1 for the 2.3 OTA - except mine failed to install

Didn't get any kind of notification anywhere, only reason I checked was because I saw some of you say you'd got the update.

Had a look in PTS and there's a big fat install log ....

lucky you folks getting updates. i am still on 1.6

it doesn't bother me. i still love the MachE but i have to admit, Tesla owns the software game.

i went onto the Tesla site casually and was stunned to see Model Y can be delivered my March 22 and it is like 6k cheaper than the MachE ...

what gives? doesn't Tesla suffer from chip shortages ... and how come Mach E is higher priced?

AFAIK, the MY comes with more software than the MME ... i am missing something surely, am i not?

Tesla have been very clever during the chip shortages. Because they use a more Agile software development model they were able to adapt the software to use different chips to their normal ones. This meant they could use a variety of hardware but kinda achieve the same output.

They do have good software, but the omission of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto was one of the turns offs for me

However, I want Apple carplay for overcast. I researched it and you can use the web interface instead. If I had the choice between model Y and MME (price wasn't an issue) then I would choose a model Y. The software is so far ahead!

For me the turnoff was the shape and the ubiquitousness.

I am a little passed off that the MME is higher priced though!

Preorder peeps got the bonus of the Gov scheme (just as it was cancelled) and the pre-price rise lower value. That is nearly a 6k difference I guess.

I've never been in a MY myself, but I did follow one home on the motorway a few days ago, and the rear was bouncing a lot!

I also agree with your comment about the shape of the Tesla. They have become pretty common these days.

People crossing the road in front of me actually stop and turn to look at my MME. Or I hear people walking past say "I really like that!"
