Could someone please tell me the best setting for heating controls in the Mach e

Its a good question - probably personal preferences, but here are mine.
1. Do not use Auto. When its colder than you have asked for the car switches off all the air flows and puts on the E-Heat. This may be quickest way to heat the cabin but its horribly unpleasant for people - just no air and the cabin pressure makes your ears hurt.
2. I Switch Auto off, all the air flows on, and E-Heat on when cold or A/C on when hot.
3. I actually like the A/C on even in winter but the car keeps switching it off when its cold so I have to remember to put it back on every time I start the car.
4. I did have cabin pressure issues all the time at first but took the car to the garage and got them to fix all the module errors that showed up on their computer and its been fine since.

Mine doesn’t do that, I frequently have the blowers on full and e-heat has never come on

where do you have the blowers set to? on the settings screen. set the blowers just to the top (screen area) and try unticking eheat.

Hi, These are really useful posts as I have been struggling to find a roof rack so thanks for that. I checked on Thule and you can still order the 7105 kit but it doesnt recognise the Mach E as a registered car on the site. Just wondering if you have had any issues and doubkle checking it was the 7105 kit before I purchase it.

Hi all. Just a quick update on the roof rack situation. I bought everything from Thule.com and all is well. However, I believe that there is no roof load weight for the EU market and it appears the kit I got is no longer on the Thule website. I’ve not finished the fit off completely, not installed the locks or rubber strips yet, but I can confirm it all fits correctly and that part numbers etc. are correct.

I checked on Thule and you can still order the 7105 kit but it doesnt recognise the Mach E as a registered car on the Thule site. Just wondering if you have had any issues or had heard why the Mach E was no longer officially recognised. I have sent a note to Thule but awaiting a response. I was wondering if this had to do anything with the current roof adhesive recall for the panoramic roof. Cheers.

Uh oh - Congratulations you are in 1.6 and 1.7.1 limbo - also known as “- -“

Allegedly there is fix coming for cars stuck like this later this month. Although they promised a frunk release by December 2021 and we havent seen that yet. I think they are a bit behind LOL

I managed to fix mine by forcing it to 1.7.1 using FDRS.

I’ve checked your VIN and the update is available in FDRS for your vehicle too. Looks like your dealer tried to do a SYNC update on your car on 1st December 2021 via USB but it failed.

Can also see the car tried every day from 6th December to 20th December to download 1.7.1 before finally giving up. It’s currently marked as “OTA Retry is Pending”

If I were you I’d ask the dealer nicely when you take it in for the Pano Roof recall to see if they’ll do the APIM update for you

I had to use myUS as Thule US doesn't ship to UK, and the roof kit(footpack) is not approved for the UK/EU market only US.

Does anyone else have a problem with the rear seatbelt warning sound going off even if nobody is sitting on the seat? Lat night I collected my daughter who directly behind me in the rear RH seat and the warning sounds started going off for the other seatbelts. I told her to make sure that the seats were clear, which they were. I managed to fic it but turning the car off and on again at the traffic lights.

I believe you have to have the middle seat belt clicked in even if the seat is empty if you have anyone in the back. As this is due to no sensor being there in the middle. I think.

Next time, try pressing the OK button on the steering wheel to dismiss the seat belt warning.

As Steve points out, there are no occupancy detectors back there aside from the seat belts, so the vehicle is warning you that a belt unbuckled so you can check on your occupants.

Hi @MacMachE, I believe that Ford still haven’t released the roof load data in the EU, so I guess I got lucky when I ordered from Thule.com. I can confirm that the kit I have is definitely the right kit and all the part numbers etc. are in the pictures. There are other vendors that sell the kit and they should recognise the Thule part numbers.

Test drove an AWD at the weekend & the version was 1.4.0, tried to run an update & said nothing was available. The sketch pad was missing ( not that I'd use it ) & the CarPlay did not display on the driver's display either.

THanks, this is the only UK section and I couldn't find it. The specs are different in different markets as standard. Heat pump is a must-have, wife will boycott otherwise, she is freezing all the time and the aircon is on all the time No way we are going to save on that, unfortunately.

This is partly a genetic problem. Women on average prefer a temperature several degrees higher than that preferred by men.

Any advice on what to ask the dealer to do re prep. Like updates etc?
