Note that one of the questions/answers states that 1.7.1, 2.1.0 and 2.3.0 will be deployed in April, but cunningly they don't provide a year. Later in the same paragraph they go on to say that the will ramp up software updates over then next 12-18 months.

They’re gonna have to get a move on as 2.8 has already been promised for release in June / July this year LOL

Before anyone says anything, I do realise that this has been taken from the US side of the forum so most of the functionality doesn't apply to us nor does the time frame but at least it will give us a little insight into what the power up dates "MIGHT" do for our cars.
But bear in mind, as had been said before, not ALL cars get the same updates.
I have had 2.3.0 and have got most of what the list says. Tiles/blocks game didn't get on (don't think it's legal in UK), can't comment on apple carplay feature as I use Android Auto.

And it's odd it says the "Ok Ford" Ford Assistant was added in 2.3 - I was playing with her yesterday and I'm definitely not on 2.3!!!

Yeah - we had “OK Ford” from day one.

I’m not sure if the Wikipedia entry was referring to some refinement to the functionality in 2.3, or if it was the initial roll-out for them.

I have ordered a lease car and the lease company told me that the dealer had said the expected build date was 1st April. On the 1st April I asked them for the VIN and they said "The dealer has advised the vehicle is still at status committed to build. They are still waiting for a vin to be confirmed." Today I have not been able get any further info.

Does the info I got on the 1st sound right, i.e. committed to build?

I don't have the impression that it's meant to be US specific, but I do believe the rollout dates (e.g. March 2022) are intended to indicate the date a Power-Up is first publicly observed on a retail (i.e. not Ford VIP) vehicle.

Yeah - we had “OK Ford” from day one.

We had it from day one in the states, too. I think it's listed the way it is on Wikipedia because the Power-Up release notes mentioned OK Ford functionality. We still don't know what (if anything) changed concurrently with the release notes mention.

Committed to build is their way of saying its being/has been scheduled into a build slot on the production line. Build slots can be a bit fluid and move earlier or later (normally later)

It also has to go through a stage known as "segmentation" or in normal person speak "Have we got all the parts in stock that we need to build this car?"

UK and EU orders are normally built in batches to help with line adjustments (think right hand drive vs left hand drive builds), and batches earmarked for fleets orders tend to come towards the end of a cycle.

So short answer - yes this sounds ok - but keep pushing for that VIN.

Ford VIP - lol - definitely not something we have. All dates here are standard consumer roll-out.

Has anyone else’s FordPass app not updated due to the clock changing? When I look at mine there’s a difference between the clock time and the last updated time of 1 hour. Not sure if this is the time in the Ford pass app, on the car or something in the API data.
