Coming from a Jag which logged all the trips using the built-in SIM I find this a really strange choice of design. I will always use Android Auto rather than the stock experience, so it's never going to work for me whilst it requires this direct BT connection. It's a shame as the Jag was just so straightforward and you could also see the trip data in the online car portal website, which was really useful for submitting company mileage expenses.It hasn't got anything to do with AA or ACP. The FP app talks to the car built in system. As long as FP is connected via bluetooth and you have the correct settings for connectivity set up you should be good to go.
