Rather interesting this. Found this on Ford UK YouTube channel posted three weeks ago. I wasn't aware that Blue cruise was available here but apparently it is. You have to wait until the very end for the "small print". It is ONLY available on MME's built after Nov 22 and is ONLY available in Germany and UK (apparently). Given the time scale I very much doubt whether any cars built after Nov 22 have actually reached our shores yet anyway.

For the trips last week I got about 3.1m/kWh - that’s in an AWD with climate control on. That’s a bit lower than usual for me as I only get to see motorways on special occasions ?

Had I been in my RWD model it would have been closer to 3.7m/kWh I reckon.
Another 400+ mile run yesterday bringing mileage up to a touch under 52,000.

The last 9,000 miles averaged a return of 3.0mls/kw - not bad for the winter months.

Projected range yesterday morning was 224, I actually achieved 251.

Full charge today gives a projected range of 253.

I find projected range increases the week or so before clocks go forward and falls the week or so before clocks go back in October and then some more as the weather & temperatures alter.

Always in OPD, nearly always with a/con on, Active mode and mostly fully loaded.

Knew we shouldn’t have discussed punctures?
Thought I might just last until I could order a full set of new tyres in for Wednesday from usual supplier after a world tour on Tuesday, then puncture struck today! Kwik Fit Daybrook were the only place that could fit a puncture repair in for me but found they have 4 Mich Cross Climates in stock so they just won an order to fit those. And only just realised the dodgy Conti Premium Contact 6s fitted when new are actually summer tyres! No wonder they’re sh!te in the cold & wet when back end’s like a conker on a string!! They got steering axle tread pattern, no wonder? Unlike these bad boys…….

Finding much better grip than those Contis which Ford fitted as standard. Think they run a bit hotter than the Contis. In dry during 400 mile run, tyre pressures increased by 5psi, up to 54psi!! Which is a bigger increase than I used to see with Contis, probably due to better grip. Be interesting to see how they wear, there’s usually a trade-off. Far happier with these tyres, though.

Resale values appear to have taken a dive on the mache since Tesla dropped their prices! My ER rwd black came back with shocking quotes from webuyanycar and motorway despite a low mileage of 15k for a nearly 2 year old car.

Wow, what were they quoting? I’d be interested to see how it compares with Glass’s Guide’s book figures.

The thing is, new car sales are up therefore used car demand falls, and then there’s the price-drops all which have a negative aggregate effect on the used car market driving down residual values.

Just as mine was approaching a trade value around the £35k mark, the motor trade insurance which was going to cover it for free tell me they won’t insure an EV so it’s a life with the Admiral at greater cost for the ‘Stang!!

And that's with the larger battery and the tech pack as they now call it!

Perhaps it's due to the endless news articles saying it's now more expensive to fill an Ev compared to a petrol fill up!

Prices have deffo dropped.

This time last year I sold my 1yr old 2021 RWD ER with 9000 miles to webuyanycar for £47k

Just done a valuation for my 1yr old 2022 RWD ER which also now has 9000 miles on it - effectively the same transaction a year later - and they are offering £37k

So basically a £10k drop on a comparable transaction which I attribute to more cars being available both on 2nd hand market and new.

Yeah! Thankfully you got to do that transaction last year when valuations were high.
