The current track record of providing OTA in Europe doesn't leave much hope.
Its a very bad state of affairs indeed! So many broken promises, false and vague answers or no replies at all from all FORD Mach-e Support including FordPass Community which is a complete waste of time! Such a shame!
So what can be done? Well I finally have some email contacts for the top executives at Ford Motor Company Ltd, including L. Brankin.
How many of you UK Mach-e owners out there have something you’d like to say to them. I believe they are clueless how bad support actually is for us! Trust Pilot though days plenty! ?

They aren't clueless. They don't give a ?. I have emailed numerous people including Brankin, Berg, Palmer and never had a reply from anyone. It's a numbers game to them. They might get a few complaints from people but the majority will just sit back and accept their lot. I will say, however, that I have had some favourable responses from the CRC.

Hi, Here’s a reply about it from the FordPass Community Chat

ā€œThe latest Mach-E models (MY23) are BlueCruise capable straight away as they have the latest software levels as a fresh install from the factory which has been calibrated with the vehicle hardware as one complete system from day one. With previous Mach-E models, a number of significant actions are needed to bring all elements together in the same way via over-the-air updates (Ford Power-Up). The obvious safety considerations for this feature also mean that we need to satisfy the appropriate authorities and seek specific approval from the Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) for BlueCruise on pre-MY23 vehicles which is separate from the existing approvals that we have. We are committed to doing all we can to make it happen as we understand the value and desire of customers. Due to the complexities mentioned, it wouldn't be appropriate to predict timing at this point although as soon as we are able to we will in this space.ā€

Oh the responses from Ford on that Community website get me so wound up.

I’ve been avoiding it for a while but I just clicked on the link in James III’s post and again they are giving out duff info.

All this rubbish about the Alexa capable SYNC release still being worked on for UK and not quite ready yet … we’ll there may be an element of truth in that for the OTA distribution, but the finished software package for that version was made available in FDRS in September 2022. That was seven months ago! Does it really take that long to package and test it for OTA?

No wonder peeps are getting so frustrated. And don’t get me started on the new interface which is the next version on from the Alexa one ?

One of the biggest issues is that "updates" may well be available in FDRS but unless they are part of a FSB, TSB, recall notice or customer satisfaction programme dealers will not get paid to do the updates. The CRC recently told me that my car was up to date with OTA updates but I know that there are module updates that are available for me but haven't been made available OTA YET. Given that some can take up to a few hours to perform then that is a huge hourly rate/tie up of a technician that us, the owner, would have to cough up for if we wanted them doing. I think this is another false promise Ford made when convincing us to buy the car. We were told that "regular" OTA updates would make our cars "better" that when it rolled off the production line. From what I can tell at the moment the updates are FAR from what I expect the definition of regular to be and all they are doing is rectifying mistakes and issues. As an example, my dealer has just done a PDI on a AWD ER that has been sat in the showroom for about 3 months. It was out of date, according to their systems, for several updates on numerous modules which could have been done OTA. However Ford said that they would NOT pay for him to download the updates to get the car up to date because of this. Now he has a dilemma. Does he delay the handover to carry out the updates and shoulder the cost or let the customer take the car and hope that once activated and linked to the customers FordPass app that it gets the necessary OTA updates.. I've given up on waiting for anything "better" to appear. Still no Alexa, updated main screen controls, new apps, Blue cruise. I suppose that as a early adopter and an owner for 2 years this shouldn't surprise me. I have a reservation for the new Explorer but I am thinking that after my experience with my Mach E (which I will add, I have been extremely lucky with so far) that I may cancel it and wait for another couple of years. Time will tell.

Hi Guys,
yup you got it right on all counts, especially the ? from FordPass Community. Just check out my posts! All are an honest statement of what’s going in for me. They have given me completely false information, i.e, sorry Apple Maps in CarPlay does not have Battery Integration for the MME in the UK! and never a reply when getting corrected! Basically they don’t reply to me all, claiming I’ve been negative and personally insulting and threatened to ban me! ?. Reading through all my posts I can’t seem to see it! But I have ranted on state of affairs here which is dismal regarding MME Support I keep seeking.

Regarding OTA. Ikenna made this post
18 January 23. fpcommunity Blogs Your-Ford-Power-Up-Software-Updates-questions-answered. (?) wtf! you’ll see my reply and nothing from them!

Then check out my latest reply on the OTA subject today posted under
FordPass Community Chat Mach - e ota updates 17 April started by chris200100!

@Rob replies
Hi @chris200100 Thank you for your questions and feedback. Going back to your original question about availability of updates for 21MY and 22MY vehicles. The software packages for Mach-E in Europe are often different from the base North American package, resulting in incremental work for us to ready them for deployment in Europe (including the UK). As different MY Mach-E can also have some variances from each other, this can also create incremental work. In the case of Alexa, which is the next major feature update, the packages are significantly different and it's taking us more time to get this ready. We are working to release this as soon as possible. We are also working now to ready the reminder of the Ford Power-Up 3 Series in Europe.

Hello @Rob
Hmmm Your reply above seems to say things has changed since Blog post On 18 Jan, @Ikenna quoting you.
ā€œWhen will we be receiving our next Ford Power-Up Software Updates?
We are about to launch the Ford Power-Up 3 series in Europe, which will bring Alexa Built-In to selected markets where it is offered by Amazon. This roll-out will require several Ford Power-Up Software Updates and the release notes issued with each update related to Alexa will advise on progress towards completion. You can find out more here Stay Connected with Ford Connectivity Technology | Ford UK.

In line with N.A., we are also working on bringing some updates to the SYNC 4A interface, which we provisionally expect to arrive in the Ford Power-Up 4 series in Europe during the first half of 2023.ā€

——————————-
Therefore as I hope you can understand, myself and many, if not most 21-22 MY MME Owners are very concerned, and we feel very frustrated and let down, and neglected by Ford Motor Company especially after our large investment in Ford when purchasing our Mach-Es, under the pretence of lots of unkept promises! It appears to us all efforts are concentrated on selling 2023s?

Nevertheless, I keep hoping to be proven wrong and persist in trying to get more accurate information. I sincerely want to trust that you can please help us get this sorted for us through the proper channels you and your team hopefully have access to.
- Thank you ??

Sods law, had some issues with my home charger so had a Company loaner whilst that was sorted so at present around 53k. Second (2 year service, I had the 1 year and then they changed to 2!!) is due in July and then new car at 80K... I've got some decent long trips over May so am chasing your tail, I reckon you still have the highest mileage Mach E in the UK!
