My 21 Build1 never received the 4.2.1.2 but it was at the dealer getting a new HVJB, took only 2days to order part and 9hrs to complete. After that OS Passenger Door Module, (badly) filling car with smoke when pcb blew! ? since door was locked, door panel had to ripped out & replaced with new module & latch. parts took a week. While their however the friendly tech cleared all the FDRS updates for me!
Wondering about 4.2.1.2 I contacted @Rob FP Community by DM.

This was his reply:

“The team took a deeper look and found that the dealer has already completed the Ford Power-Up 4.2.1.2 update through the FDRS tool. Looking at the date stamp it was most likely done after or during the time they replaced the door module. This means you will not receive that update over-the air and hopefully are ready for the next one.”

Wow.

You've had an eventful time. It was good of the dealer to perform all the oustanding updates at the same time. Hope there's no rattles and squeaks from the new door panel fitting.

Yes I took good care of my Tech! He’s probably one of best MME master ev techs going. That’s really cool, is that he enabled, walkway locking. As long as my key is in my hand, when I’m about 5 m from the card automatically locks!
Ha FMC UK says not possible with our thatch approved key. ?! Same as with the new on Screen Frunk button that I have now.
The new door panel is fine it’s just missing the carbon fibre pocket trim that I had an order in a plastic lower pockets to protect it and match dash trim.

As far as I’m aware they didn’t say it wasn’t possible. They did say that if it was implemented at the moment without an audible warning as the car was less secure as it couldn’t be double locked with walk away locking then the cars insurance group would increase by 2 points.
Does your car provide an audible warning when you walk away?
What did your insurance company tell you when you informed them that you’ve modified the software on your car?

it said the cars are picked at random, why don’t they allow people to manually update it. There will be many drivers that don’t care so they can wait for the push but people who want it should be able to force the update if it’s available

Yesterday i got the first OTA update with the camera icon badge pinned up top (which i guess is useful) but didn't see any other improvements, details about the update actually didn't say anything.

Just decided to chime in and to say thank you to everyone contributing with thier knowledge.

Aha - we have a 2023 model with the v4 software in our midst ?

That's gonna kick off a whole load of FOMO with some of the UK 2021 & 2022 owners ?

Well let me assure them there's nothing they are missing out on, i get occasional "Drive mode unavailable" , ugly Fiesta key, no frunk button on the screen as everyone else! ?
I don't use apple car play or alexa features, i do connect with android auto but i use built in Navigation.

Also my pony is SR RW basic to the bone, so I'm the one with the FOMO ?

2023 with no frunk button - that’s surely a mistake !

On your new update, does the heating controls work with the volume knob?

Pony came with
SYNC 4 Software Version: 22280_PRODUCT
Revision: 592
heating/fan speed was controllable with volume knob out of the box in march. @richeze

It also had Alexa capability as well. Wonky probably knows in what version was volume knob made "multifunctional"

So after getting no OTAs at all despite my dealer manually updating to 2.3 many months ago after being stuck on 1.6... I reached out to Ford and I was told that my car has an outstanding FSA 22B08 - Electronic control module recovery - service program. Apparently this has been outstanding since March but my dealer did not pick up on it when it was serviced in June...

I have been asked to reach out to the dealer for this and it will apparently allow OTAs to start again. If you haven't received any updates may be worth looking into if you are in the same situation!

I think that you will find that most if not all UK owners are waiting for the OTA update enabling this. The Alexa update is not that one.
