How did they fail in the first place? Mine have just started showing the 'snow' pattern around the Hos!, looks very festive
My puddle lights have just been changed due to the snow effect, mirrors haven’t fallen onto road yet?

Well, another trip to the Dealer in a few weeks to get the puddle lights done, or maybe I just leave them!... my car is in as we speak, lets see what today brings, I had the spanner symbol for the service (it is due). Also had the Red car with the up arrow and acceleration is limited, that with the fuse change for the rear washer...

Was asked to get it in at 8, just checked, it's still sat where I parked it, locked.....

They'll get to it about 12, send me a snazy video showing the tyre depth and charge £189 as it takes the whole day!!!!

Service Update:

4 Hours in, car is still locked and has not moved yet from where it was parked at 0800hrs..

Odds on I get a call, saying they haven't been able to fix the issues and it needs to go back in...

Last time they had it , it was in for 5 weeks and I drove around in a Sportage, but I was handsomely compensated by Ford, so fingers crossed it's stays in for a few weeks as I need to pay for my holiday!!!!!

Service Update:
5 hours in, still locked and no movement.....

After a flurry of series 3 updates in the last month or so (including Alexa) has series 4 arrived? On going for a quick spin I had an update 4.2.1.2 "Smart Changes" drop, SYNC version 23095 revision 807. I have a 2021 Job 1 MME.

Looking around I can't find too much information on these power-up or SYNC versions.

Anyone else received 4.2.1.2?

Oh, it doesn't include the temps and stuff from the volume knob

I have a Job 1 MY21 car as well. The last update I got was 3.5.4.2 on 28 July. My SYNC is already at 23095/807. It came with one of the 3.5 updates. I don't think anyone knows what the updates contain.

Yeah I received 3.5.4.2 a day or two after you last week, I hadn't noticed the SYNC version under this release so no changes there then. I was maybe expecting small .1 updates or so but not this jump so soon, I recall a Ford statement that they were hoping to deploy series 4 before the end of the year [although Ford statements on releases are taken with a pinch of salt].

I suspect that this is the Gateway Module (GWM) Update that was made available to UK cars in FDRS in early January making it's way through the OTA route.

For the US it was a precursor to the V4 Sync design update - hence the version number.

If you are happy to send me your VIN in a private message I can check exactly what is did for you.

[EDIT: TonyH sent me his VIN, and it is indeed the GWM update. Interesting that it's being sent out as a v4 Power-Up though]

So, a call from the Dealers.... apparently the frunk has to be taken out to do the fuse (yep, I knew that, hence why it was booked in for the whole day and has taken 3 weeks to get a whole day appointment) so they can't do it today as it's a big job (yep, I knew that, that's why it was booked in for the whole day and dropped off at 8am, shame they didn't look at it for the 5 and a half hours it was sat there). I have to rebook and leave it with them (yep, I predicted that....) but I can have a courtesy car...although they'll tray and make me pay for it, I'm sure.

So, dropped off at 8.
Unlocked at 1341hrs
Called at 1520hrs

So, what do you get for £189? A software update (apparently that's fixed the warning symbols) another prediction, I will drive away and within 2 days, the warning symbol will come back on as I reckon they've just cleared the fault code rather than the fault. Haven't had the snazzy video yet, but have all new tyres so that won't be exciting.... Not a bad hourly rate for basically nothing, so glad I don't actually have to pay as I'd be a tad pissed off!!!!

Just off to collect and see if it's been washed even, fingers crossed... Whoever designed the fuses and thought that was a good locations is a twat!

So, it wasn't washed and the inside was left with service book thrown on seat and the arm rest up, cubby wide open... first world probelms I know but a huge Main Dealer and I mean huge!!! should do better. I've said it won't be going back in to them and they couldn't be less bothered, I suppose to them it's a £202 (it's gone up) service every 2 years, so why bother?....

I was going to ask for recommendations for GOOD Dealers in West Essex/East Herts but I've decided I'll live with the non-working washer on the rear window and the snow effect puddle lights, they'll be someone else's problem in 18 months time and I'll never have to go a Ford Dealer again.... ever..

On the plus side, they topped up the washer fluid! :) oh, and no fancy video either... ?

I bet the bar stewards charged for washer fluid, they usually do, I now usually top it right up so dealers couldn’t get anothe or drop in there!

…….and don’t even get Meldrew me even started on Alexa - it said all set up now. Lying *****rd! It’s OK if I return to my garage to WiFi when I want temp changing, don’t do anything else, waste of drinking space!

Turned it off, deactivated it, the mileage I’m doing I don’t have time for this childish crappy tech!

So, on the question of OTA issues. I have a 2021 ER RWD and have had NO updates and still sitting with Power Up 2. It tells me I'm up to date but do you think I'm right to assume my OTA is not working and a trip to the dealer is required? I've had my 2 year service btw and still no updates..................

Maybe give them a call? This is the number I was given: 03456003000 - I think you need to hit option 3, and then again might need to ask to speak to the dedicated Mach-E team.... I can’t really remember as I was on the phone for a while as they pinged me around before I got to the right guy. But he was super helpful. Think his name was Ryan. Have your order number etc to hand... and of course, report back with your findings!?
Now wait until it arrives and you get it. One day you will need support or have technical issyes or wonder where the updates promised are? After all they get them in the USA! You will soon find that option 3 wint solve much! Next year when 2024’s come out then you’ll be like the rest of us who bought one new, and would never consider another Ford again. It’s a great car but they just don’t support it here. Daniel find after two year s it list 1/2 its vslue! Big surprise this year is insurance doubled.
Now the Mache is highest priced EV to insure!
Welcome to the club!

In my experience the dealers won’t help with OTA problems as they’re not covered under warranty and will just threaten to charge you. Well, that was my experience with Evans Halshaw and Macklin motors!
I’ve got a 21 model and had issues with version 1.7.1. Ended up having to get the Ford EV team involved and it took ages to get dealer to sort it.
Have you had no updates since 2021?
