Thanks for all the info. A lot to consider here for anyone going outside their home charge radius.
I think that’s quite normal feelteve.

key points:

each day you are starting with a full charge if you choose. 50Kw are common now, +150 are being deployed more and more.

I looked at all long trips I’ve done in the past few years from my Land Rover app and all of them would be doable.

It might influence your stop breaks and perhaps the hotels you choose.

even with 150Kw potential at many points you won’t get that. On a 50kw you’ll be about to add around 140 Miles per hour of charge. That’s over two hours onward drive.

That ford pass app when you figure it out is fairly good at mapping out a journey to work out where to charge up.

We're all to progress to EV vehicles around 2030? But right now what we take for granted (refueling) is currently a non given without forward planning.

Petrol drivers converting are in for a shock!

Is it DC CCS we should be looking for on our journeys?
If you want rapid charging then yes CCS is the one.

Can highly recommend looking on ZapMap (app or website) and using the filter option to get a good view of what’s out there. Remember to exclude the Tesla CCS connectors. :)

Yes I 100% agree re ZapMap. They have started doing payments too.

one big issue will be the reliability of Electric Highway at service stations.

the Gridserve project is the future.

Cheers, all very helpful thanks.

I can find no price on how much the ford pass charging card will be when the trial runs out.

One web page says it will be a 2 year trial.

As well as that I found this page but it doesnt mention the charging pass!

Hi, you will receive five years of complimentary access to the FordPass Charging Network1 and one year of complimentary premium access to the IONITY high-power-charging network.1

Your premium access to the IONITY network for the first year will give you a preferential charging rate of £0.27p/KWh vs the standard rate of £0.69p/KWh.

I’m sure that this will have been asked and answered before, but I can’t remember - so forgive me if it’s repetition:

Does the Mach-E come with a vehicle GPS tracker in the event that it is stolen?

if not, does anyone know roughly how much it would cost to get one installed?

Thanks

I wonder, with the “over the air” update capability, whether there is an over the air disable function that can be activated if the car is stolen?
