Reading up about this, it seems like it might only be configurable by using a tool like Forscan connected via an OBD2 dongle. Hmmm.

I've been thinking about doing the same. There are two modes that can be turned on in Forscan I believe. One is Police Mode and the other is Silent Mode. Silent Mode appears better as it gives you a toggle on the centre console to turn it on and off. I've not tried these yet but this link discusses it. Just need to sort out some blackout blinds for the windows first. I'm keen to leave the car running all night to get the benefit of the climate control. Supposedly it only takes a hit of 5-10% of the battery depending on weather conditions.

I just received the powerup 23-PU1024-6CH-AUD (fine tuning to your sound system reducing any unexpected background noise). A couple of days ago I received 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 which updates the Charging module and also purportedly provides reliability and performance updates for DC fast charging. Looks like updates are starting to be released again.

Pending warning on my screen for 24-PU0119-DC-CHG4 but couldn't wait so drove to a full strength 4G mobile signal strength area (Our favourite local Marina with nice cafe) and updated there. It was as good an excuse as any.

Got the sound system update which seems to have cured an unwanted sound I read was there which I never knew I had.

Radio sound seems clearer unless that’s placebo effect!

My daughter commented that Taylor Swift, which I have to play continuously when she is onboard, sounds so much better. I tend to agree. The vocals and mid range do seem better especially on acoustic tracks.

A good YouTube channel which explains all about Autotune and Pitch Correction is called Wings Of Pegasus. He's a singer and can play his own instruments. He does in depth reviews of musicians either "live" or recorded and it appears even legends have fallen for Autotune and/or pitch correction. The worst thing is record companies re-releasing music using Autotune/Pitch Correction without the knowledge of the artist and the public lapping up this "remastering".

Only applicable to new EVs registered after April 2025 over £40k. Or have I missed something? I may well have done, it’s a long thread?

Personally I don’t agree with the extra vehicle tax for EVs over £40k as EVs are expensive as it is so it isn’t exactly an incentive to buy one.
Bottom line is the government have set 2035 or will it reduce back to 2030 for all new cars to be EV (new hybrids I understand have a slightly longer life than pure ICE). I don’t actually think they care about incentives as soon it’s the only choice if you want a new car.
