the 1990 date indicates "null" or no date but it's the oldest date the database recognises so probably read that as no schedule as yet. It's normal for schedules to change and you'll get these temporary blips.
yeah that's how I see it from an IT point of view. a date deleted/cancelled and hopefully to be replaced with an updated date.

What was your estimate? 14-16 weeks or 20-23?

I placed an order on 19th Dec for a Space white, standard range RWD and it quoted 20-23 weeks. A week later new orders were then quoting 14-16 weeks.

I rang up Ford UK Mach E team and asked if I should cancel my original order and place a new one but was told all relevant spec orders will be in a queue and my first order despite the longer estimate would be delivered earlier than a new order of shorter estimate.

I see that new orders have now gone back to 20-23 weeks for SR RWD models but seem to be down to 14weeks for AWD models
So a new order would come after your existing one which makes sense BUT the estimated weeks contradict it which doesn't make sense.

I got the 14-16 weeks, mid April delivery

I did two concurrent orders to see difference in timings and one was Rapid Red 20-23 weeks and Shadow Black at 14-16 weeks.

having the car near two months earlier and £1,000 cheaper swayed me to go Shadow Black - I still torn on which colour to actually get but Black is always a safe choice and looks mean on the MME

Aah, that may explain it... I original order was space white and it may be when I tried a new order it was for infinite blue which may have had a shorter estimate due to cancellations etc.

Has your dealer confirmed mid April delivery? Also do you mind letting us know exactly when you placed your order?

Order placed about 10pm on the 31st of December

And haven't heard at all from the dealer even though I've emailed and called - granted it's a national lockdown so I'm understanding

Thanks. I have a build date of 8th Feb but dealer insists VIN is not available to them to provide to me! I explained how others were able to receive but was banging head against brick wall. Frustratingly I appear to know more than the dealer most of the time.
Join the club. I imagine that most of us know more than our dealer. If he has given you a build date he should have the last 11 digits (if not all) of your VIN. It should be on vista. You can then work out the remaining 6.nI had to tell mine that if you chose a colour other than black it didn't affect the PICG as it pushed the price over £50,000.

I still can’t believe this is a thing that dealers keep saying paint colour affects grant eligibility.

The info is there for all to see on Ford’s website that clearly say it does not affect it. Just goes to show there is still plenty of misinformation floating about out there.?

Not so much misinformation, more of lack of product knowledge and understanding. I wonder how many are saying that you have to pay luxury car tax because its more than £40,000

Yeah, tell me about it. 4 weeks after putting my order in online I’m still waiting to hear if the finance has been approved after it ‘timed out’ on line.
Being fair though, the lock downs/Christmas period haven’t helped. Was finally able to speak to the person at my dealer who apparently ‘mainly deals with the Mach e orders’ so fingers crossed.
I managed to go through the finance with him but he was all for passing me off to Ford Credit or customer service before hand.
He kept on saying that this is the first time Ford has did anything this way. Really?!?
He did confirm that my car was in production but wasn’t able to give any idea on expected dates...

A wee bit more consistency amongst the dealers would be appreciated but I suppose their new at this process as well.

I think what he meant was that it is the first time Ford have done the online ordering process. Under normal circumstances you would go to your dealer and sit down in front of his computer and pick your car, colour, extras etc and then he would order it. With the MME the majority has been online with the dealer, in theory, only getting involved for the PDI/delivery. Obviously this hasn't happened as planned. We were supposed to apply for finance online but the system wasn't set up. Ford haven't been sending out progress updates so the only way we can get (patchy)info is from the dealer and as they haven't been kept in the loop either it is all a shambles. Look on the bright side. Eventually, in the not to distant future, we will driving around in a lovely car

Got through to my assigned dealer and whoa ... did not expect the lack of awareness of the car existing, my order or the process.

What's that car? Is that a new or used car? (asked three times) what did you put down as a deposit?

The new car team hadn't heard of the Mustang Mach E and I had to give them my order details and they will get 'back to me' - surely they had a brief meeting or training session about their new fully electric car!

I had visited this dealer once before and my wife and I were appalled and left to buy elsewhere, I had put it down to a maybe one off but now this interaction has ruined me and has me in fear for where/if they even know my deposit is?

I’m truly lost for words - how do these places stay in business?

I hope they have a moment of enlightenment and find your order.

Where in the UK are they based?

With the finance I suggest making sure your finances are relatively sensible. Lots of credit card debt could be something to look at and clear down or get down to a sensible level.

I'm doing that. Was £15k plus and now half that.

I also suggest checking your credit file for free and your 'affordability' rating by signing up to the moneysaving expert credit club.

I cant believe that after all the press, YouTube videos and what Ford have pushed out that there are still dealers who don't know about the car. Either that or they're just not interested in it. Not enough margin
