Hi , just wondered if anyone is interested in a set of 18” wheels and tyres , they are factory wheels with two continental and two new falken tyres. No any dents or scratches.

Av DCFC p/kWh 65p

av miles/kWh 2.88

HVB SoH 94%

For ICE car with 40mpg & Diesel @ £6.80/gallon total fuel cost would have been c£17,005.10

Therefore, EV fuel saving £7,573.92.

Car cost £5,3500

Current trade in offe £13,000

Business fuel income £3,7214.50

Fuel saving £7,573.92

Car theoretical paid for itself and am in perceived profit by £4,288.42

Work done includes:

Rear wheel bearings changed under warranty

HVBJB changed under recall

A few sets of tyres

2 new windscreens

A few services and early transmission oil change

Right rear door catch changed partly under warranty

Never had a problem with 12v battery.

Apart from HV battery which is periodically monitored and performing well, only other thing really likely wear or fail is transmission.

Therefore, I had the transmission oil analysed (results attached with those for clean, virgin sample in left column for comparison) informing some iron & coper wear particulate matter present.

Not perceived as major risk or problem because replacement cost would be c£6,000 if it came to it which is unlikely so is less than the depreciation of a new car I considered the moment it rolls out the showroom.

DECISION: Regular transmission oil analyses and keep the car until either range drops making business use difficult or something catastrophic happens to it.

Anyone know how to get the speed warning to beep when going over the speed limit? it was really useful.

Previously (until about six weeks ago) when exceeding the speed limit by the threshold set it would audibly beep and the speed limit sign in the dash display would flash.

Now the sign still flashes but the beep has gone. I'm assuming this is related to a software update.

Hi All,

Not sure if its wider issue or I am the chosen one.

Since latest update with seems to updated Alarm Motion Sensor I am unable to lock my car with ford key pass.

I have changed battery, checked all doors are locked etc as online guidance but nothing works.

Hope i get some suggestion, trying to book a service hopefully asap.

Regards,

Arpan

Oh my, when I see a mention of an update to the motion sensor alarm I have to sit down and calm myself (and have a wee dram (or two)). Have Ford actually fixed the bug for Ferry crossings? After 3 years of ownership and asking Ford to fix the ferry alarm tilt sensor thingy, but it appears to be to no avail. With the alarm going off multiple times during so many 6 hour ferry crossings…I’ve tried everything to disable it, but upon locking the car, the alarm enables itself.

The last crossing was the last straw….I left the car unlocked…with the gold bars on display, it was the only way to stop me taking to the ferry bar and drinking it dry of whisky (I live in Scotland and it’s the only solution), so please tell me there has been a happening!

Enjoy, isn’t the AWD absolutely brilliant in the snow! We were in rural France last November and had a heavy full of snow (about 6”), the car was just amazing.

Looks great in the snow.

Even with good tyres on my RWD feels like a MkIII Cortina 2.0E in slippy weather, rear end’s swings about like a conker on a string ?

I left my car at Gatwick for a week over new year. After getting home I unloaded some xmas presents from the frunk and discovered that something - I'm guessing a mouse - had eaten its way into a Toblerone.

Upon looking at the frunk, I guess a mouse could climb up through the bonnet catch hole, but really? Certainly the mouse decided to escape the way it got in because no mice have been seen since.

It looks too much like a bloated Polestar 2 for me.
Quite liked it but when I looked under the bonnet…………somebody stuck an electric engine under there, nowhere to put all my stuff??‍♂

So, that made it a non-starter?
