Just a quick query for the veterans on here

The Vin tracker says my car has a production date of 10th Dec, but when I try to view the window sticker it says "The window sticker for this vehicle has not yet been released"

Anyone have any thoughts on why this may be?
Yes. The window sticker was available but wasn't showing ALL the correct info. I looked at mine and the spec didn't match what I was expecting. I queried this with Rebecca and she told me that we shouldn't have access to this as it was meant for factory use only. She assured me that I would have all the correct spec when I get my vehicle. The access to the window sticker was then removed. I believe this is because our versions are a mixture of the US ones so for whatever reason the stickers are not correct.

With regard to the "Assembly offline" query, I've been looking online and came across a Focus RS thread from 2009.. funnily enough similar comments on there about poor communication regarding order progress, people getting fed up and considering cancellation etc..

https://www.focusrsoc.com/forums/topic/764-vehicle-status-on-vista/

It did clarify though that the stages are:
Body offline - body shell complete
Paint offline - painting of the shell complete
Assembly offline - car assembly complete.

So it appears that the car is all finished

The next stages appear to be Compound in, Compound out, manufacturing ok (I assume quality control), finally followed by Gate release and Shipping

These appear to be stages on Vista rather than the tracker we have access to I think.

I think you will find that that is an US forum. The stages that you listed above are what US dealers can see. We can only go by what is on vista, and that is if our dealer shares the info with us. Some don't/won't. I don't think ours goes into so much detail. In all new factory built Fords I have had I have never seen so much info. What we need to look out for is gate released(car is good to go), compound in(at docks) shipped(on boat). Sometimes it will say what ship. If it does we can track it. Problem with this is that it is all down to someone inputting the data onto the system so is not always accurate. The fact that mine hasn't been gate released yet means one of two things. 1, there is an issue or 2,(hopefully) they haven't updated the system. Unfortunately it is just a waiting game.

For me means
1. There is an issue
2. Waiting for volume of cars to get shipped

How long does a VIN usually take, car ordered 6th Jan 21, the dealer still does not have it, at this rate esp with the current delays, it’ll be 2022 before I get mine :-(

Usually VIN's are issued when your car has been allocated a build slot. If you only ordered 6th January I would imagine it will be a while yet unless you are lucky and get a cancelled order that has already been built or had a build slot allocated.

The speed which people are cancelling at the moment I would suspect that you have a pretty good chance of that

For those who have not managed to get their VIN from dealers, this link allows you to find your VIN from your Ford account order status page. It worked for me, dealer then confirmed my VIN from this was correct..

You can only use that tool if your car is scheduled for production and it takes you to the usa version of ford account which doesn't show my car.

I opened the UK ford account page and clicked on my order details, then followed instructions on the link above and it worked for me. Maybe because my car is already built?

You ordered a " Rapid Red, SR RWD, June delivery"

I think it will be the colour that determines it. I have seen a few SR RWD orders get lucky here.

I'm also set for a late June delivery although preordered late October and I think you ordered in January?

Just shows how the preordering system has been completely become a raffle and been ignored. And instead Ford USA don't give a F about customers outside of their ivory tower.
