What is wrong with the cars that means they aren't ok to ship? Faulty batteries? Risk of the battery catching fire like the kuga/escape hybrid? Software fault?
All the insiders indicate that nothing is wrong with the cars; they are just having logistics problems trying to ship them.

You either have train cars or you don't. It's not like buying a ticket and hopping on the local train.
Don’t they need a train a day to keep up with new production? The cars have been ready for a couple weeks now according to this thread. They had been leading up to OKTB for some time. It shouldn’t have caught them unprepared.

I hope y’all don’t lump me in with the negative posters on this site and if you look at my post history you should see I am generally positive and cordial. It is just in this case it doesn’t seem to add up. It went from OKTB is set for a certain day to it slipped a bit to OKTB isn’t really a set thing and is more nebulous. So then it is blamed on shipping. I get not being able to get 20 trains out in a day to clear the lots of all produced cars and then keep up with a new train a day. That I am sure is very difficult with COVID. However, to not begin shipping at all on a hotly anticipated launch is questionable.

Someone had one job! They had months to plan and setup rail transportation from the plant. What about truck transport to another pickup point for rail transport to different areas of the country.

No worries. Those of us who don’t work for Ford have no idea. I just have to believe that it is outside of their direct control and they may be as unhappy as we are. No way they want to sit on all that unsold inventory if it is OKTB.

A lot more going on behind the scenes than you know. Things don't always go as planned. Yes, it was laid out but things have happened.

One rail company was down 70% workforce. How are you going to do anything with no workers?
Half and I say half of the fast-food restaurants where I live are not open. They can't get enough healthy people.

Tesla is shutting down two lines to help with the problems they are having. Covid has done a number on everything.

I don't think the shipping delay is a confirmed fact. But my feeling is Ford is working hard to get them out. If not, they would have announced a delay as they did with Bronco.

Also, they didn't stop production, and they are filling up the parking lot. Whatever reason is causing the delay, I feel bad for the responsible group. They must be feeling a lot of pressure from the top.

Yeah, that makes sense and is understandable. It still makes me sad, though. Lol. Can't wait to get my car! Whenever that may be.

Thanks as always for the insight. I will stop complaining and move back to my optimistic ways and tide myself over with more review videos.

A new image of the plant was taken last Thursday, 10 Dec by the Geoeye 1 satellite. It has to go through processing (and we have low\no priority), but hopefully we will have a processed, 46 cm resolution image in a few days to see for ourselves what the parking lots look like at the Cuautitlan factory.

You're good... It's okay to questions and seek to understand. Or, even disagree. Just be respectful and civil about it. I'm not here to defend Ford.

@trutolife27 says there are things happening behind the scenes that we're unaware of. What we have to remember is that the "insiders" have given us an unprecedented view behind the curtain. Well.. A peek through a small opening of the curtain. It's a great peek though.

I hope you publish that image when it's available!

Noooo! I was really hoping to be able to see my car in the picture but it was taken too soon

For $1100 and a plane ticket, I'll drive my car home from the plant.
