The mache is good to go with OKTB but the hold up is getting the shipping plan into effect. The mache is no flaws ready to go everything has passed have a drink and enjoy your family.

The hold up is getting the logistics done with shipping. Ford wants to move around 3,500 units in the next 3 weeks.
I'm not saying you will have 3,500 at dealers sold and consumers have in 3 weeks. I'm saying by the last second of the third week they want 3,500 loaded and on the move.

Covid is hurting everything. We all need to take a deep breath and see none if this is going to go as planned. No matter your auto manufacturer. Any items we are trying to buy in the next few months we are going to have a hard time finding. I hope we all can understand that.

Now back to the car. This week I drove all 4 models of tesla. Each had its things that were great and each had things the other tesla model did better. If the mache better at everything it has then tesla? nope. But overall is it a better vehicle than the model Y? Based on my opinion and what I have done, yes it's better than the model y and the mache is just amazing.

Hope we all can hang out and talk and everyone keeps things fun. No one is always right. But let's try to keep the info we know as facts correct. That's the point of this to help each other to choose what is best for us. Part of the reason many of your youtube vehicle testers don't post too much on forums is that the drama if people don't like what you say (even if facts) they get vindictive with words.

Tesla, Ford, VW, whatever you pick hope it works out for you. I think we all can be happy that you're choosing an EV though.

December 15th right at that time should be a great time for us all and a lot of info we can talk about. Can't wait.
So glad you didn't go. Your posts have been so helpful. Glad OKTB has been approved. My RWD ER was supposed to have been built on Thursday. Hopefully it will be one of the 3500 Ford want to ship in the next three weeks and will be on a boat by the end of the month. ???. Please stay and keep those of us who appreciate your comments up to date

Thanks @trutolife27! Zo OKTB is official given?
no, it has not. It can not be given tell the logistics are worked out. So it's not the building part of the mache that is the hold-up. As far as the mache goes it's 100%. all cheer good feeling. Ford just has to get the logistics nightmare laid out.

Man, I hate to keep saying covid but unless you're into it we don't understand. Even myself.
Ford wants to have everything check triple checked and checked again to get the mache to all of us and have us happy.

No talk well, it's going good now shipping to here this happen now this happens and it all falls apart. Nothing beats planning and over planning.

So true. Even taking delivery of a car at a dealer is uncertain in certain areas (such as in CA) given lockdown orders. It’s not just getting cars shipped, but also ensuring dealer protocols are in place...

I can’t imagine sitting in an office with a financing rep for an hour sorting all of the paperwork out etc without COVID, let alone with the COVID environment we are in...

Could be worse... I was imagining that once they fixed whatever the initial delay to OKTB that Ford would have to wait to get the EPA range numbers rechecked because of some change that had to be applied to all the vehicles... (Sometimes my imagination can come up with some bad scenarios....)

Couldn't hurt if the "finance office experience" ends up being shorter, but yea, the logistics of this is crazy.

Seriously?! THIS people! THIS is why I DESPISE “social media” and tend to avoid it like the plague.

I’m saddened, but not terribly surprised. I’ve seen this happen on other “social media” where company employees attempted to engage with good will
Completely agree. The tenor in general has gone south lately, and the amount of content which requires you to have Twitter or Facebook (neither of which I do) is disappointing. I had hoped it would be different here and reluctantly and to the dismay of my family jumped in. Social media represents the death of decorum, respect and decency far too often for my liking.

Just curious if now that 'OKTB' has been given, does that mean customer units could ship along side dealer demo units? I guess what I'm getting at is, it would be a shame for customer vehicles to sit in Mexico, only so dealerships can get their demo units.

Um... we were supposed wait to start drinking until now?!

Is that shipping estimate the extent of what was already produced in November or is that 3500 additional units?

Thanks for all your info!

andy can I call you andy?
Have a seat here. Now my brother nothing I said is about what is produced. They could have 10 made or 10,000.
What info I'm passing on is ford's goal is to try to have 3,500 shipped in the next 3 weeks. so from Monday (IF THE GET THINGS WORKED OUT) count 3 weeks and by that last second on the third week, 3,500 are loading and on the way.

Hope you can hang in there and wait for your mache. It's worth all the wait we all are having to accept. Nothing we are going to buy right now will be perfect. Hopefully, things will turn around.

The important part is the vehicle is A-ok and all ready to go. Woohoo! ?

Shipping was always going to be another hurdle of it's own.
