So true...

I never thought of myself as a social person until I worked from home for months... :(
Yeah, I've gotten addicted to conversing with a bunch of other weirdos on a car forum just to have someone to talk to during the day.

Wow - similar to the other posts we saw - hope the software is more secure. This sort of connectivity while interesting is not supposed to happen unless close proximity of car and phone?
yeah. Not suppose to happen I guess.
I’m a bit surprised about the range. 66% = 276km.
makes 100% = 418km. For an RWD standard(Select RWD in USA). Not bad.

I don't know that is the case. I've been known to toy with family members from half way around the world with two of my connected cars I already own. The VIN is usually the key you need to connect for basic functionality. It's one of the reasons many of us are protecting that information on the forum. You typically need to enable advanced features like remote start/stop from inside the car after you install the app on your phone.

My has no idea I am planning on buying one. It’ll be for her ultimately, but also for me.
She is excited about the Mach e. I’m sure she suspects something since we are going to see one at the dealership in Denver on Friday.
Also I keep making references to her ALWAYS leaving the family car on empty and how she needs an electric car.
I picked red before orange was an option. But only cause I wanted her car color to match my car color.

I think the limited number of colors is a legitimate criticism of what's happened here. It's not 100% clear to me why that would be the case - paint color selection in a painting area is sort of a zero-one-infinity (*) kind of problem. I'm sure Ford had its reasons, but it would be nice if the selection was wider and deeper.

(*) a computer science concept that says that for any given problem statement, you will never have to solve it ("zero"), have to solve it exactly once ("one"), or many many times ("infinity"), which impacts how you design the solution.
Honestly I am definitely disappointed at the color choices for the Mach E. I can say that so far everything else about the car is a 10/10 to me. Maybe the view of the front of the car is a 9/10... but the color choices were/are less than stellar in my opinion. I was hoping for sportier vibrant colors all around in addition to a black, white, silver, and grey options. The only colors that are "unique and exciting" are red, orange, and Grabber Blue, and two of those colors aren't available anymore unless you opt for the GT.

I chose Infinite Blue after first demo I visited, when it was very sunny and bright. Then we went to another demo where it was cloudy and Infinite Blue just was not appealing at all. The 3rd demo we saw both cars side by side and agreed (me and my wife) - definitely - Rapid Red. Grabber Blue has never been mine (or her) choice - it just seemed strange to spend $50K for a car in such a bizarre color - I know, I know, we all different - but sometimes I am amazed how we all are that much different :) Though, this orange for Performance GT definitely caught my attention - honestly, I would probably go with that, if they had a choice of that color in Premium. I know, it's weird :)
My wife loves Infinite Blue the most but when asked which she would own herself she chose Star White.

The only color her and I both agree on is Grabber Blue being really nice. I missed the FE however, and I honestly like Premium better, so not an option anyway.

I really want to like Rapid Red, but I feel I'd LOVE it if it were 1.5 to 2 shades darker.

I settled on Shadow Black or Carbonized Grey having the "meanest" and most aggressive looks to them. I wanted to be able to see the difference between the roof and coupe lines... and additionally I hated how dirty my black ML350 would get after I washed it... so I settled on Carbonized Grey. I'm happy with my choice most of the time, but I would totally opt for a sportier paint color, including orange, if Ford ever released new colors.
