Muddying the picture further is that many of the ones built in Oct-Nov backing up on the lot are FCTP demos. So even if batches of MMEs ship out soon (or maybe some already have in recent days), good chance many/most will be FCTPs.

I'd guess a few buyers may get delivery by New Years, but probably very few. They should be showing up in waves in January though. It's too bad tax ramifications come into play, creating frustrations for some.

Yup. and at this point, it doesn't really matter what your build date is. I don't think for cars that have already been produced, aside from FCTP cars, that build date has any bearing on when they will ship.

What is wrong with the cars that means they aren't ok to ship? Faulty batteries? Risk of the battery catching fire like the kuga/escape hybrid? Software fault?
