Correct, they did not change anything on the GT. Only the Select and Premium got the suspension upgrade for '25.
So would only the Select and Premiums benefit from a possible Suspension swap from the 2025 model, or will the GT also be able to plug and play? Isn't there an AWD version of the Premium, just like GT?

Yes in fact when I had my Premium back in '21 and the GT came out, I purchased the springs and shocks from the GT (not GTPE) and installed them in my Premium. The ride improved but not nearly as much as the ride in a GTPE because of the Magneride shocks. If I had to take a guess, Ford is going to soften the springs a bit like the Eibach springs we have been installing and stiffen up the shocks like the Koni mod I did. Both of those things help out and help out each other. But who knows what they are going to do. If we see reports that the new '25 Premium rides much better, I would think installing the springs and shocks from that car to any GT (not GTPE) would improve the ride HOWEVER the car will be 1/2" higher and not handle as well. Not sure if that is what you are getting at....

A GT wouldn't be plug and play because before 2025 GT's had springs and shocks, GTPE's had springs and Magnaride shocks. Magnaride isnt plug and play, nor cheap at near $500 a shock. Though if someone could make a P&P version it'd be upwards of $4k. The controller and shocks are about that much, plus wiring. The vehicle dynamics Ford put on the GTPE was for those springs and shocks. You'd have to have actual control over the VDM in order to make an improvement.

The AWD just like a GT Premium is them getting lazy on the front facia and saving money by not having to make 2 soon. (It'll be a quiet killing off of the Premium front end I expect)

Yeah not a fan of that move. The GT really won't have its own distinctive look anymore. :( Which I would think would hurt sales of the GT.

I agree with you. One of the cool things about the GT is the distinctive (and better, IMO) appearance. But money talks! And I guess Ford thinks they will make more money with that option. Good for them. But it will hurt GT sales, I think.

If I had to take a guess, both the springs and shocks were changed. As soon as the parts catalog becomes available for the '25's, we will find out.
Any idea when the parts catalogs usually become available?

Usually right around the time the cars are first shipping or shortly after.

While I don't have a serious problem with the rear bounce in my GT, I am seriously considering doing this mod especially after you guys try out the Bilstein shocks.

Great post!
My experience with Koni and Bilstein shocks tells me the Bilsteins are far superior, so I will wait for that.

How long are you willing to wait? I have been enjoying the Konis for almost two years now.

IIRC, the Bilsteins didn’t have the rebound control that the Konis had and had more bounce control, increasing harshness while not damping the oscillations enough. Mark or Erik can correct me if I am mis-remembering. ??

As Steve said above, the Bilsteins don't have a rebound adjustment which is what you need to control the rear end bounce. That is why I modded the Koni's to work with the Mach-E and take care of that issue. I also like Bilsteins better than Koni's but in this case they will not work for the Mach-E.

Kyb is supposed to release a rear shock, q2 of this year. No other details.

I think, with the Eibach springs the Bilstiens or others
Might be a viable option. If I had to guess my Koni’s should be between 3/4 to 1 turn out now. With the Eibach springs I have been able to dial them down. There’s a bit of rear float, about like a GTPE in Engage.

My wife refers to my standard 23 MME GT, no magna ride, as a bounce house. I‘m 99% ready to order the eibach progressive springs and maybe the sway bars too. Question for azerik and mark Boris and others, can you recommend a good suspension shop in Northern California in San Jose area that can do the suspension mods for me?
Also if I’m not a really an aggressive driver do you recommend the eibach sway bar upgrade?
And last question, since eibach springs lower car by about an inch has anyone had any issues with car bottoming out and causing any damage to other suspension parts?
