I am getting my MachE tomorrow and intend to charge it in the garage at 110V.
(Eventually I will add 240V outlet).

For now this should work as my wife commutes less than 6 miles RT.

Occasional long drive will be with the fast chargers...
More then adequate. You get 3 miles per hour.

Yes indeed.
I had the car for 2 days and charged every night, adds about 20+ miles overnight.

Left my sister's home yesterday at 4PM, 35 deg, stopped in Rome GA for a top off to 80%, then home with 28 miles left on GOM. Original estimate was 34 miles so not bad. From a comfort in range I'd like to find another stop later then Rome to get more reserves in range.

How is the 120V charging going? This is my plan as well...

If only doing short trips 120v should be ok. It’s not practical to carry the Ford mobile charger and plug in everywhere.

I had 240v installed in my garage while waiting for my MME to be built. My mobile charger is attached to my wall.

I just have a similar situation where round trip is less than 10 miles daily... and on the weekends if I can use it for larger trips then I'll likely get to keep the vehicle on Monday :p

It's working better than expected.
Since wife's commute is less than 10 miles RT, overnight adds 20+ miles on 110V.
I got car home from the dealer on Friday with 110 mile range left (Drove 65 miles from dealer location)

Been charging every night up to max 90% (with cold that's 130 miles, 100% is 150 miles).
I have programmed for pre-condition 6:50AM when she leaves.
That warms up the car for her 3 mile commute.
Average efficiency (according to FordPass) has been 2 miles/kWH.
This is with steering heat, seat heat and temp at 68 (fan on position 1).

For longer trip for the weekend I would just charge it up to 100% (you can hit a button on FP).
Then charge at fast charger as necessary to get back home.

Outstanding! From what I've read on here pre-conditioning will use the battery not the shore power for that activity... does she still get to leave at 90% or is it less when she starts?

I think I am going to use it exactly like you do and will be happy with that. :)

110v isn't preconditioning IMO.

I have no idea if it's using 110V or battery to precondition it.
However the small screen did say to plug the car to charger for cold weather.
It didn't say anything about charging so it must be doing something with keeping batteries warm (12V and HV).

I will check on my FP tomorrow morning.
According to the FP app at 90% charge it should be at 134 miles.
It says it will reach 90% at 6:20 AM tomorrow.
Since pre-condition is set at 6:50 let's see if the range drops around 6:50AM tomorrow.

That will be an interesting test.

Since the heating element used to precondition is 5KW, and 120V at 12A is only 1.44 KW, it would have to use some battery to precondition.

Be sure to look at SoC, not range! Range could be anything.

I preconditioned one morning, cabin and seats were warm, didn't really pay attention to SOC as I was just running around short 20-30 mile trips.

How do you check SoC ?

State of charge….in your example, you are charging to 90%. Preconditioning for 20 minutes using battery power should knock a point or two off of that.
