I was browsing Amazon and saw these waterproof charge port covers, like a glove type. Anyone use these or is it a waste of money?

I have the Canadian macapuche product for those icy / snowy days and nights. "Ma capuche" means "my hood" as in "hoodie".

@Travlcub the cover in your original post won’t work at all. It relies on magnets to hold it against the car. The fenders on the Mach-E are not magnetic.

The water proof cover is unnecessary if temps are above freezing. I charge mine in spring summer and fall outdoors, no problem.
In the winter, I charge in the garage.

I have a feeling that snow/ice in the charge door latch could be a problem, but water is fine.

The only time I have had the latch freeze was due to frost - moisture in the air which then froze in the mechanism, but otherwise the skies were clear. The last few days seemed to be perfect for this to happen and I charged two nights ago so I was worried. But by the time I removed the plug, the air temp was a bit above freezing. I doubt one of these covers would help (and Ford had/has one for sale, haven't looked lately). No problem in rain or our infrequent snow.
