Over half a year ago so that could be why
And I'll bet you have a set of powertrain updates in your available software list in FDRS right now just waiting to be applied, and then your 1PD would stop working.

And by the time a new set of powertrain updates comes out to replace this version...the problem will hopefully have been corrected and ultimately you'll never see the problem at all.

I have a 21 premium AWD extended range and have the most recent part and have not experienced any issues with one pedal.
What mode do you drive in?
For me the OP error only shows up in Engaged mode.

Yeah that's really scary. Should not be happening.
I guess we now have an answer to whether anyone will take this issue seriously. Unknown if they decided to stop the powertrain issues themselves, or it was your NHTSA report, or whether it was this thread, but Ford not doing any more updates till sorted.... seems resonable, no?

Did they halt the recall?

Update: they have placed a hold on all programs/service/repair pertaining to the powertrain (yes, this includes the recall). All module functions for PCM, BECM, ABS, SOBDM, SOBDMB and SOBDMC have been disabled on FDRS.

While this is good news in the sense that nobody else will get the faulty software, it means that everyone who currently has their vehicle in the shop is going to have to wait even longer to get it back - likely weeks.

Did ford say this has to do with one pedal?

I can’t quote directly but yes, its the 1PD issue.
I'm skeptical. Ford has had a ton of software and module issues. They might have decided to pause updates for any of those. Until ford itself says something about 1pd, I'm taking anything else with a grain of salt. But I appreciate you providing the info you have.

Great. Glad I finally have my recall scheduled for next week.
Me too. Funny how we seem to have similar timing both with purchase and now HVBJB recall. So what happens if someone gets the SSN or SVS alert during this period?

Funny because I've been talking to a ford rep through this forum and another over the phone and neither mentioned this
I have found that reps (at the call centres and otherwise) generally don’t know much of anything beyond what’s on their scripts. We will likely get confirmation of this hold/1PD relation tomorrow once they update the technical portal.

Imagine driving down the road. You pull off the accelerator on your Mach E to slow down and eventually brake. It works. As you creep closer to the stopped car in front of you, your mach e continues to slow until OUT OF NOWHERE your one-pedal regen braking fails and your mach e -- at a time when it should be stopping -- lurches foward, throwing you into whatever is in front of you! It's scary. And Ford NEEDS to fix this known issue immediately.

After I got the HVBJB recall last month, my mach e would randomly lose the ability to slow and brake using one-pedal regen. It's a terrifying experience thinking you are about to slow but suddenly you're going faster. luckily, it hasn't resulted in an accident like the one described above. But I dont feel safe having my family drive a car that doesn't stop the way it's supposed to. I took my vehicle into the dealer three times. After updating every available module, they escalated the matter to Ford national techs. As communicated to me by my dealer, ford is aware that the HVBJB recall causes one-pedal drive faults and they do not have a solution. Yet they are posting here about available goodwill "gifts" for those who go get the recall within a certain time. Is Ford encouraging Mach e owners to get the HVBJB recall knowing that it will result in an unsafe car with a whole other problem?

I had zero issues with this vehicle before this recall. I guess the honeymoon period is over. What can I do? The dealership said there is literally nothing they can do and Ford acknowledges this. @Ford Motor Company I just want this car to work as it should and did before the recall.
