We have a working Frunk Button in FordPass!

Seriously, this is just a sore subject. After getting my wife's Model Y recently I've really started considering ordering myself a Tesla to get away from the constant programming, software, and hardware bugs of this car. At the same time I'm quite happy with it if Ford would just do what they told us they would... Someday?

I haven't even considered using my frunk for like 6 months... in fact, I'd happily forgo a frunk on a future vehicle if it meant using the space for additional battery capacity.

I use my frunk 90% of the time over my trunk

It's honestly ridiculous that Job 1 cars still don't have an OTA for this yet. It would be one thing if no cars had it, but this whole "only some of the cars have it" thing feels very unprofessional. Still no Bluecruise OTA, no frunk button on FordPass OTA. Very disappointed how slow Ford is being on making their cars uniform from a technology perspective.

Not true, my car always had this feature on Ford pass. My car was built on 9/29/21, which I think is job 1

The job 1 -2 break was July 2021 (the 9th if memory serves)

Thanks for reminding me I don't have a frunk button. I was already happily at the acceptance stage.. now I'm angry about it all over again.

Could one not find a way to purchase a European fob, and have it coded? I know it's costly, but would that not work?

One could not. They use different frequencies over there that are not cleared by the FCC for use here.

I'm still wondering why the frunk functionality still hasn't been enabled as part of the slew of OTA updates for Blue Cruise. The code and functionality is obviously working as it's in new cars, I just don't know why it wasn't added here.

I am honestly wondering if Ford just forgot about Job1 cars not having the remote frunk release.

Agree. Nothing more nothing less. And hard once u see how a Tesla works (got spoiled by a m3 of my husband)… I just need a car I can rely on. Don’t care about PAAK, frunk, kicking to lift the hatch…. But I would like preconditioning before a charge and car wash mode and tech that Tesla has. Oh and being able to drive without the junction box welding shut would be a relief as well. Can I put tech of a Tesla in the body of an MME? MME owners are the most patient loyal customers I have ever seen judging by this forum.

We picked up our new Mach-E GT PE on Friday and today I discovered we have a functioning Frunk button in FordPass! ? ? ?

Yeah, glad someone does. Still waiting here.
