This can be set up on both key fobs, right? Seems hubby has all the icons on his fob, and I only have the horn/lights one..?

Yep. 3 weeks.
@SWO Dang. I ordered my GT no-PE on 3/24 of this year with no options, and I haven't heard a peep about my car. I am expecting October. On the plus side all my cars are paid off so no car payment till then. :) But still...

Post a link please (if you have one). I'm not doubting your post but I'd like to very carefully listen to see if we heard what we wanted to hear or if it was far more specific. It's been a long time since we knew the job 1 cars were coming with a manual release and dividers, I just honestly no longer recall the exact language used/
This was the most recent mention of it, from the Blue Cruise dealer install notes.

Also, there is this new note on 21G01

May 3, 2022 – NOTE: There is a known issue when 21G01 is performed, where the Mach-E Front Luggage Compartment controls in the infotainment display screen will be inoperative until a future software update is available. The manual lever in the driver footwell will still be operational.
Donna Dickson also mentioned it in her talk with Munro, almost a year ago now. Go to 3:37 in to the clip.At the time it was promised that “all cars in the field will get that as part of the third quarter OTA update”. ?

Thanks for those. I’ll take a look later snd see if there’s any room for “alternative realities.” ;)

Those are just the most recent references. There was another dealer note mentioning it being available by the end of December 2021, and a European Ford rep saying it would come in OTA 2.8.3.

This makes me wonder, the US Ford Mustang (non-EV) key fob has 5 buttons....hmmm.

I love straight up lies. Not only is this not OTA for Job 1 cars, I'm not even certain this is doable via any kind of software update through FDRS for Job 1. Anyone else have information on that?

Yeah, if you have a Job 1 Mach-E without the frunk button, you can just do like us and upgrade to a '22 GT to get it. Easy, right? ?
If I "upgrade" to get a Frunk button, it WON'T be a Mach-E again.

LOL. Jim Farley retweeted you and now this is "news." I read the headline and was wondering WTH they were talking about before having a good laugh when I scrolled to the bottom.

I love how Jim missed the context behind Patrick's tweet not knowing that the only way @Mach-E VLOG was able to get the magical frunk button was to buy a new vehicle since it's not available for their 1st edition.

There’s literally no requirement anyone buy a second Mach-e for any reason. Don’t like the available color schemes? Good enough. Don’t like the ride? That works too. Don’t like the OTA system (or lack there of)? Yup, good enough. Think frunks are overrated? Yup, buy something else. Just want some other manufacturer’s problems instead of Ford’s? Yeah, that works too, that’s why I didn’t buy another Toyota truck for example.

Contrary to popular opinion cars aren’t religion. Feel free to change yours on any whim whatsoever.

You took my response the wrong way. I wasn't indicating it was a religion etc. Simply he suggested we can "upgrade to a GT" to get a frunk button. And I'm suggesting if it was important enough an issue that I upgraded for it I'd not buy the same vehicle that the OEM has procrastinated or refused to do what they promised to do. Whats the addage, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...

Oh, not at all Zule. My response was intended as more generic. Too many folks seem to think they need a Declaration of Independence level document before separating from the manufacturer of their latest vehicle. Not so.

As for frunkgate, I've pretty much given up on seeing a remote release on my job 1. I have no idea if they're still working on it, sidelined it due to other issues (*cough*recall*cough*), or canceled it altogether. At the 15-month mark on my car, I use the frunk at the grocery store if it's closest to me when I arrive with the cart. I'm used to opening up the car and double pulling the lever. Still, I'd prefer a remote release.

In Patrick and Liv's case, all the more power to them. A bit extreme measure to get that frunk remote release though. ;)
