8th digit of your vin should be an X. Plus all 25 GT's should have the extended range battery.
If the 8th digit of the VIN is an X, U, E or 7 it is an extended range battery.

VIN 8th digit code:

Thanks.
Clearly, it's because they accidently send standard range batteries out instead of extended all winter long.
This is why I was asking. Did Ford actually put standard batteries in some extended range cars?
if so how can you verify?

It wasn’t Ford that was putting the standard batteries in extended range cars. It was Old Man Winter. In fact he comes to your home in the dead of night and switches out your battery twice each year.

Employees used it so they could obfuscate the fact that they were referring to Leon

It was an easy nick... Elon Musk - El Mu - El Mo - Elmo. 🤪

No, Ford has not accidently put the wrong batteries in extended range cars. But every winter, especially in the earlier days, we'd start seeing people asking this when they get their new car and the range is lower than expected because range drops when the battery is cold.
