? why buy extra warranty ? you already have 8 yr/100k on the battery&drivetrain...
I have always found that electronics (like the center display) either die within 90 days, or last 10+ years. 36k mile/3yr warranty on all that stuff seems to cover it as long as the drivetrain has 100k/8yr.
If the warranty time is 6 hours you will likely pay 10-12.If your repair was for the HVBJB, the part is something less than $1,000.00, plus a few bucks for coolant and a bolt and 6 hours of labor at shop rate. Without knowing the exact service, I am just guessing. ??

That's basically any insurance. I've paid far, far more than I've received between home/auto/life insurance premiums.
Yeah, I’ve got a friend I played golf with. He’s got a $400,000 home right on the Gulf of Mexico in South Mississippi and he can build homes if he wants he doesn’t have a construction company or anything like that but he has no insurance on his house he said he’s not paying $1500 a month. he says he lost a house once in 30 years even with Katrina so all that money he saved was worth it he said.
That’s not how our warranty works though.
As @Mach1E says, the powertrain warranty is only 5 years/60K miles, not 8 years/100K miles. I was surprised by this too when I recently discovered it.
I wonder what components are classified as powertrain versus battery and drive train ?
Additionally, the battery/electric drivetrain warranty cannot be extended with the Ford ESP. This is why I keep waffling on whether to get one or not. ??
