Your limited To about 1.9 kW of the MME. Check PlugShare. You have a free 50kW charger close and EA fast chargers by the airport.
You are awesome. Thanks!

(BTW - you must of meant the Newport News airport. The Williamsburg airport has nothing. But NN is only a 25 minute drive, so really not that far. It just feels far because Williamsburg is so small...)

Sorry, was referring to the NN airport. I didn't even realize their was one in Williamsburg proper.

If you run two 60 Amp circuits you can charge 2 BEVs, but I don't think those circuits can be "combined" into one 120 Amp circuit for BEV house powering purposes. One 120 Amp circuit would serve both purposes: charge two BEVs simultaneously and power the house in a blackout.
You can run a 120A circuit to a sub panel and split from there

for $4K you can power your house from your Mach E or other EV, Up to 7.4 kW https://wallbox.com/en_us/quasar-dc-charger

All the info is from 2019 and 2020 so I do not know if they are still around. I got a quote in Early 2020.

Very cool but I am pretty sure the BEV has to be able to provide output power, and the MME is not designed to do that. Yet.

Any mad scientists add additional charger to the MME to increase AC charge rate? :p

I know that 11.5 kW is powerful, but it sounds like people are installing thick wires that would handle more than that.

This sounds like crazy talk, but Zero Motorcycle owners have been doing this to 1C charging and more. The DC chargers don't support Zero's lowish voltage battery pack, so people are pushing the limit on AC charging and using 2 J1772 plugs at a time.

Can anyone guesstimate the % of charge will take charging at 48 amps? from 25% charge to 80%?
This is where I plan to charge every time(or at least not on trips).
appreciate the info. Is there a chart posted anywhere on this subject?

From the spec sheet my charger does 40A @ 9.6 KW. Also I do have a bigger breaker and wires. I had a 50A installed when I got it.
Keep in mind that there is a derating factor of .8. That is why a 50 amp circuit supports a 40 amp charger. A 60 amp circuit can support a 48 amp charger, but that needs to be hardwired and not a NEMA plug.

240 x 48 = 11.5 (there will be efficiency loss from this but you said guesstimate.)

Your Car is either 88 or 68 for 100%.

you can do the math from there.

At 48 amps I get around 30 miles per hour for recharging.

You could always buy your own DCFC. I hear they are about $200K with about another $350K in infrastructure. It will then charge a lot faster.

Actually under $50k if you include the transformer to take 220V up to 440V A/C 3 phase for the power supply. Might need more than 200A service, though!
