Thanks, I have been looking at the Ford tracker site for months. It's not accurate. It said my car would be here on August 31. That didn't happen.

call your dealer and if no help call ford marketing. not much else you can do.

That or someone else got your car.

2. Call your dealer. But if waiting on parts, they get there when they get there.
3. GT orders got production priority. Probably so Ford could stick to their “late summer” promise

3b- probably faster to keep the production lines moving with chips installed than spit out more “Unchipped cars” or to stop the production lines to put chips in the existing unchipped cars. I’m guessing one process is completely separate from the other.

4. bonus answer- if tired of waiting keep searching for a dealer with a cancelled order in stock and buy at MSRP or x plan.

I am in a very similar situation as you, waiting for a Premium MachE that was supposed to be here in August, then October, and now in N/A...

I suspect cancelled orders get deprioritized but I have no information to confirm this and it is solely a theory.

The theory seems to stick with the timeline.

Now as to why? I have a few guesses.

Your order is already delayed. Does it make more sense to delay every order (and stop production) or just put yours aside and install the chip when they have “extras?”

I would say they keep the production line going. Even though that means people in line behind you get their cars first.

Your car likely doesn’t need to go down the assembly line again. They just need someone to get and install a few missing parts.

The problem is likely they don’t have enough chips to both keep production going and install the missing parts on the cars already built.

So rather than shutting the factory down, they prioritize keeping it going vs delivering your car.

It’s most definitely NOT fair to you.

What would be more fair is to give YOU the “next complete car with your specs”
That goes down the assembly line.

But they can’t easily do that because they assign each person a VIN.

It used to say August 25 to 31. Now it says October 25 to 31. I'm guessing it is just a place holder.

For it to get to you by then it would have to have shipped over a week ago.

Yes and no. It says "shipped" at the top (it has said that for 3 months) but the pizza tracker thing has "built" filled out but not "shipped". Plus there is not a date under built, which some people says means that it is not actually built.

Let me ask the stupid question. Is the tracker bullet over built filled in or checked? If not, the build is not completed. My MME took 18 days to build and then 45 days traveling to get to me in CT. At the end, tracker said ETA was 09/14 to 09/20 but my Premium AWD ER in Infinite Blue showed up without notice on 08/30/21.

My GT was waiting on chips since 8/11 and finally shipped a couple days ago and has an ETA of 11/13. I suspect a lot of chips are going to European builds so they can meet their fleet average CO2 targets by the end of the year.

So what does your tracker say compared to mine? Is there a date under built?

Thanks for the info. The built bullet has been filled in and checked since July.

Palsapp.com will provide some info showing it really is in-transit. My Built bullet had a date under it, 07/16/21. To me it looks like you’re in good shape for a Oct dealer delivery.
