Just thought we might see how well this process has been going. I'll leave it open so folks can make updates as they have their cars serviced. It also allows multiple answers in case the final work was fine but glass was broken along the way. Let me know if I missed a needed option.

Haven't had it done yet, I was waiting for a couple of road trips and then was going to have the two glass recalls, the PaaK CSP, and the 21P22 work done. Made a drop off appointment at my local dealership and they said they couldn't do it the body shop would have to, and he couldn't promise it'd be done in a day

Even though I told him I understood that I was just going to drop off the car, he couldn't get over the fact that somehow he thought I wanted it done immediately, and, seemed to refuse to coordinate the work between the body shop and the service department (since both are going to be involved on the two independent pieces of work--glass and software updates). It's really stupid that I have to know how to navigate the dealership's corporate structure. Just give me a single point of contact to drop this thing off and get it fixed

Anyway, all that delay was a good thing because now I can have all of the above work done plus the BlueCruise update. I'm going to contact a different dealership in the area that folks have had good experience with on the Mach E glass recall specifically and hopefully get them to do all of it at once

Wow, I'm sort of surprised that those of us who haven't had it done yet are such a high percentage. As at least one other member on this forum experienced, my dealer requires the windshield/roof service to be scheduled through the body shop, but the 21P22 software to be done through the service department. 2 separate appointments. Yuck. I'm over 8k miles now, so I'll try to get it scheduled when I have the 10k done.

Had mine done and it came out great and fixed the wind noise. Didn't have any coordination issues with Ford but the work did take over 14 days

I'd call the General Manager. That's ridiculous. No reason they can't work together to do both.

I contacted my dealer in January, they ordered the part. Still no appointment scheduled and it's now April.

There is no "part". There are supplies, and part(s). All spelled out in the paperwork, which has been posted on the forum.

I found several dealers in the Bay area (NorCal) that are refusing to do the recalls.

Two common answers are :
"not being able to partner with a shop" to do the glass work.
"they don't have the 'parts' for the recall that have been ordered"

From what I understand not many glass companies are willing on the windshield job because rate of pay that Ford has set. They only pay $X and anything over the dealership has to pay. At least that is the #1 excuse I have gotten.

@Ford Motor Company -----Recalls are required to be done but your dealers are refusing to do so. Might want to get that looked into.....

Just made an appointment at for June (booked out far of course) but hoping all goes well.

My question, has anyone in the Bay Area had the recall done? If so, how did they treat the inside of your car since the entire head liner needs to be removed. Are there any Bay Area dealers done the recall, and can you recommend anyone? I'm looking for above and beyond work here, LOL, ya I know I'm dreaming!

Mine went fine and was done in under a week, including software updates (21G01). Unfortunately I found a scratch in the windshield a couple of days later, so they had to order a new windshield. The good news was they had pulled my windshield and found lots of chips but it went back on fine. That scratch got me new glass. Only 3 days to get the new windshield once it came in from Ford.

I held off for a while to let things settle, but now my dealer is basically refusing to do the work.

The service department seems to want nothing to do with it and pushes me to their own body shop.

The body shop seems wholly incompetent. Continuing to claim that the glass rood HAS to be removed to do the work and no one has the tools to do so (even though we all know the roof does NOT need to be removed). I explained in detail, and provided the official instructions posted here, that this isn't true, but they've yet to acknowledge it. It seems that unless it's an F-150/etc, they don't much care.

Capital in San Jose did mine, took in on a Tuesday, picked up on Friday (they replaced one of the front ½ shafts too.) Some minor debris from the windshield on the dash, some cleanup on the glass needed, 2 small spots on the headliner (once came out completely, the other I need to try again- but most people wouldn't notice it.) Overall much better than I feared, most people wouldn't even know it was done. I'd suggest getting some inexpensive seat covers before taking it in though. Pervious service visits I had to spend a while cleaning the driver seat afterwards (light grey.)

My question, has anyone in the Bay Area had the recall done? If so, how did they treat the inside of your car since the entire head liner needs to be removed.
