I wanted the floor console that are in the Mach-E's from China because of their flow-through design. A couple of years ago, I had asked AOSK and other aftermarket retailers with no luck. Recently when talking to Bruce from BSKT, he said he would find one for me from a wrecking yard and ship it over. 2 months later (came over on a boat) I received it.

I'm very happy with it except wasn't expecting gloss black (dust magnet) covers for the storage bin, cup holders and phone charger. I've seen this console with the flat black covers like we have for our console storage compartment. Didn't know this console also had the option of gloss black covers. The rear of the console where the AC vents are is also trimmed in gloss black, After installing it, the gloss black doesn't look that bad. It is the only area of the interior that has it since I replaced the gloss black trim on my custom BSKT steering wheel with forged carbon fiber to match my custom door and dash trims.

I moved the wiring harness, front and center passive anti-theft system antennas (PATS), gear shift control module (GSM), remote function actuator control module (RFA), ambient lighting LED's, parking brake, hazard and park assist switches from the old console to the new one because I did not want compatibility issues. Part numbers for all of these items were different between the two. The only part I did not move over was the wireless phone charger. The charger in my previous console is a different type and mount so it would not physically work in this new console.

Nice! If I knew you were getting one of those I’d have said to get a second one to make my fake Chinese car more complete. 🤪🐩

The leatherette trim around the console edge instead of plastic and the way the gear shifter no longer sits like a ledge looks really good. It matches the GT seats really well.

Besides the parts that you don’t like, what are the parts that you do like that made you switch?
Not that I don't like any parts, I actually thought the door/covers would be flat black like our storage door/cover. However they are all gloss black which I am not fond of because it is a dust magnet. I do normally keep the upper two (cup holder and phone charger) open and the armrest is over the storage cover so it is not really noticeable. After installing it, the gloss black doesn't look that bad. I'll be keeping a micro fiber cloth in the storage bin to keep the those covers clean.

On my previous console I eliminated the gloss black trim and replaced it with a custom made forged carbon fiber trim which I miss since it tied in with my dash, door and steering wheel trim forged carbon trim.

I wanted this flow through type console because I like the look and used to having them in my cars and trucks. The standard console in the Mach-E just seems like areas to place your items and not really a console. The new console looks more integrated to me.

Hey Erich, I knew the top trim was all covered in vinyl with white stitching but what I didn't know was the trim below it is padded vinyl. If you were to rest your leg against any part of this console it is all soft touch.

Did you happen to capture the part number of that GSM with the black ring while it was being switched over? I like the look of that rather than the shiny one.

Or is that your original GSM with a cover on the ring?

It looks like the 5Spurs knob cover that he had before. 🤔🐩

That is my original GSM with the 5SPURS satin black dial cover on it. All the parts had different part numbers between the two consoles and I didn't want there to be any issues. If you want, I can post the part numbers of each GSM?

No, that's fine...if it's your original with a cover then I can go with the same thing.

I have a rubberized GSM from the Bronco Sport on my Lightning and I like that alot. I was just looking for something similar for the MME.

1) WOW, what a difference that makes, looks so much more luxurious and not so Cheap Plastic!
2) Love the lighting in your car.
3) Love how you have your taillights and your taillight bar.
4) Your garage is amazing... What mat did you use, and the tire ramps? I need those for my garage, but nothing will make my garage look as fantastic as yours!

Impressive work as always, Mark. I would certainly prefer that console design in US-market Mach E's. When I see this kind of thing it makes me scratch my head. Ford, like most automakers, is obsessed with cost cutting. Why not use the same console in all Mach Es? I'm sure there's an explanation - different markets, different supply chain, etc.
