Dealer contacted me Wed night that my car had shown up, about a week early, picked it up, drove 300+ miles and now back at home :) For reference this is the first electric I've driven for more than 20 minutes, I'm coming from my 2007 Mustang GT and a Volco XC60.

First off, damn, after driving it, zero regrets about not getting the PE (it's been eating at me for months), probably some ignorance is bliss, but this has meet all my expectations and then some. Getting into the rainy season, but going to see if I can line up some performance lapping before they all close.

- Holy crap it is fast, like, I could get into trouble easily with my 2007 V8 (which was only a ~5 sec 0-60) but this is just a blast and I only had it in Engage mode the whole trip and all below 80% SoC. (Yes I'm well aware about all the stuff in other threads which I hope Ford does eventually clarify, but it is still just plain fun regardless)
- From a 70 ish mph cruise, no issues stomping it to pass, you'll be at 90 before you know it (again, this was in Engage and under 80% SoC, will have to test it out more in Unbridled, etc).
- Love these seats, the pseudo suede feels great, and at 5' 10 220+ I much prefer not having the contour of the PE seats.
- Suspension feels a little stiff I guess? not bad at all though but that's what I'm quite used to from my old GT and kinda prefer for this vehicle's purpose. It's no Volvo, but I imagine the magneride helps a lot there. I did not notice any real bounciness that's been mentioned on some other models.
- I actually kinda like the propulsion sound, after driving gas cars for 20+ years (most of that a manual transmission) I like having that audible feedback. ?‍♂
- The wheels have really grown on me, but I'm totally removing the aero covers once someone else sorts out the center cap.
- Tires are ok, fair amount of road noise on the highway, not bad around town, will likely switch to the Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06+ when these get low (those were phenomenal on our old Focus).
- Charged up twice at Electrify America, worked pretty well actually, 46->80% in about 20 minutes. (but boo, since the car wasn't activated I didn't get my free credit yet).

Couple oddities though
- Still can't activate the car, initially thought it was due to low reception at the dealer but tried a few times since and no go. Maybe a sync reset and go again?
- Ugh Android Auto is going to take some getting used to, could not for the life of me figure out how to play the music I had copied from my PC to my phone.

Shout out to Awesome Ford (yes really) in Chehalis, saved some sales tax heading down there (X-Plan too), they were great and this was only the 3rd Mach E they've sold.

Congrats!

Just a heads up... Unbridled and whisper won't change power delivery. It only really changes 1 pedal regen, stiffness in handling and the sounds/look of things. Ford gave us 3 options that really, at this point, don't do a whole lot performance wise.

Good to know, straight to Unbridled (and Extend) then :)

I don't notice much difference in the settings either besides the intensity of regen breaking while coasting.
Does it really change the stiffness in handling for the regular GT? If so how? I don't think the suspension is adaptive in the regular GT.

The only MME with adaptive suspension is the GTPE. So you wouldn't notice anything on the GT.

Congrats! She's a beaut! Ok so newbie question: what do you mean that you need to activate the car? It's not showing up in the Fordpass app or something?

Great news! But you have to have the right uneven pavement to get it bouncing, from what I have read. This is something I have been worried about. Glad to have another data point that indicates it is better than the non GT models.

I actually kinda like the propulsion sound, after driving gas cars for 20+ years (most of that a manual transmission) I like having that audible feedback. ?‍♂
Until my GT arrives, I am dead set against fake noises, but I guess it could grow on me. I did test drive a Premium, and the fake sound was not bad, but one of the things I like about an EV is how quiet it can be. So I will be looking for a way to get rid of the sound.

The wheels have really grown on me, but I'm totally removing the aero covers once someone else sorts out the center cap.
Same here regarding the appearance of the wheels: I went from hate, to really like. I will probably leave the aero covers on because I don't want to impact highway range, but I might darken or blacken the silver parts. Still not sure about how that will look. It would be great to see what others do with these wheels, so post pictures if you get the covers off and find a center cap!

With all the posts about bad dealers out there, there are an equal number (or more) of posts about good dealers. I have two orders right now with two different dealers, and both have been great so far. One order I am going to cancel, and maybe the delivery experience will change my mind, but they seem to be honestly run businesses. Glad yours is good also!

Man I want my car! Your post has me even more anxious to get it! Thanks for sharing!

In my regular MME GT, I can tell the difference in how it drives between the modes. The regen, throttle mapping, and propulsion sound all changes. I like Unbridled, but Whisper is very relaxed feeling (matches the name). WOT performance is the same in all of them though. Well, not counting Extend, where we all know its slower by design, and I haven't tested.

Yeah, Ford Pass app is just sitting there, throws an error when I hit activate, even added the car to wifi when I got home and still no go. Dealer would normally call up Ford to figure it out but I was antsy to get rolling and they recognized I'd be as capable as they'd be on the software side.

Was able to set up a profile on the car itself and do all the other settings, got android auto hooked up, so I'm missing the vehicle stats, PaaK (which, I didn't really care for anyway), but more importantly missing the free EA credits it seems :p

I read you only get the 5 seconds at 100% power with Engage mode not Unbridled, Engage to take off…

You’re confusing unbridled with “unbridled extend.”
