Don't the mirrors auto fold when locked? that's plenty confirmation for me and the way my current car works.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that.
Right now I touch the little dot on the door handles and can hear the vehicle lock. Since I don't plan on using PaaK, I will try and learn how to touch the door pillar button to lock the vehicle. If I remember correctly.....hold your finger lightly on that button until the vehicle locks. I just wonder how long you have to hold your finger there.

Was that talked about here already?

Except they are big and bulky old fashioned things. I prefer the small no button mini fobs, or cards that seem to be much more reliable than phones.

I'd be fine with a minifob that didn't have any buttons on it, and only did proximity detection.

Great review. I really hope Ford cleans up these issues you (and others) have noticed. Combined, those little issues would be enough for my wife to be extremely frustrated and never want to drive it

Could it be the Mislock function that's causing it to honk? Have you tried turning that off?

I'd never even heard of "Mislock". Found this on another forum. Doesn't sound like the same thing...

If any door or the liftgate is open, or if the

alarm or remote start, the horn will sound
twice and the direction indicators will not
flash

I had not reset it during that picture - After resetting I was getting around 220-230 range at 100%.

That's much more like it, even in the cold.

Disappointed they're using the horn as the audible lock confirmation rather than a less obnoxious chirp. They have speakers on the outside for the fake noise, so it should be easy to do something else.

I like some confirmation that the doors locked. In my Escape I always have to look at the light blink on the mirror, but something audible would be way better. But not the horn. That's too loud/annoying.

I hate the honk on lock. I'm fine with just flashing the lights, although the little beeps (1 or 2 for unlock/lock) on the Leaf are OK.

Or even just setting a thin silicon pad on it might be sticky enough to keep the phone in place without bumpers or glue.

No, it was tough to tell from the manual. But now that I see there’s a setting for audible feedback with walk-away lock, that definitely sounds like it.

I have a roll of that too. But I haven't seen it in black. I don't think anything but black would look good there on the black tray.

I always put TPU cases on our phones, which are a little stickier than the shiny phone back. That might be sufficient.
