I wish there were just some division at Ford that could answer questions about delivery/provide better updates. My car is approaching 72 hours on a lot 15 minutes from my dealer. Still there to my knowledge and a massive winter storm about to set in that will essentially shut down DFW for 3-4 more days. I’d much prefer my new MachE be sitting plugged in in my garage as opposed to covered in 8in of snow in prolonged cold with who knows what state of battery charge. But again, no one to escalate any concerns to.

So pumped it is time to change threads. Signed and Delivered last night.
Now to go have fun today, and of course it is raining.
At least I can sit and have fun with the screen!

Good luck with the deliveries, it is worth the wait!

maybe good news for the east bay group, Ford.com no longer shows an eta and next step is to purchase our MME. no call from dealer and Ford tracker still says in transit. Optimistic now hope they handle recall prior to pickup

Same here, emailed my dealer today. Told him I heard the train is in Richmond already. He said that he sees that the car is still in Fresno on the VV, like what the actual F. How can it be?

Do they send bad cars using Bnsf one route that takes a month, and good cars another route by union pacific in a route that takes 5 days?

My car was on Argentine on the 1/25th, while the SF guy's was there 10 days later and he already got his, while mine is still somewhere unknown.

Very frustrating. I will likely never do this process again

Was just informed my car will continue to sit on a lot at the rail yard 15miles away, in the bitter cold and snow, not plugged in for at least 5 MORE DAYS because the trucking company won’t load cars on a rack in these conditions. Picture below to show you current conditions. You’d think a Dearborn based company would know how to get cars delivered in snowy weather. Especially when there’s no actual snow.

current conditions:

I was hoping you were able to get the car yesterday or today. Monday to Wednesday are going to be bad around here. With the increasing number of EV's coming in the next few years, they really need to have some plugs at the rail receiving yards in the event there is a multiple day delay in transporting them away to dealers. Hoping there was a decent charge on the battery when it left the factory and there is not too much vampire drain happening.

I'm currently roasting the shipping company on twitter and tagging Ford in it. Maybe it will help. At the least it's making me feel better. ;)

Whenever you buy a car at Galpin they buy your entire family dinner. When you refer someone they do the same for them and you.

Last night we started with an appeudampler. Followed by clam chooser the steak and lobster and they are well known for their strawberry shortcake dessert.

This is THE ONLY WAY TO BUY A CAR.

While you are eating all of the finance paperwork is being done. Instead of signing for your credit card for the meal you sign the paperwork for the car. Buying was never so easy. I got the 125,000 Mike warranty package which is bumper to bumper including EVERYTHING from tire damage to batteries to whatever and 150% gap insurance.
Smart dealership. That is how you do business. All your blood is at your stomach and not your brain when you sign.

What's a little rain? Also a good chance to test the cornering on the Mach-E. Drift, baby drift ?

Mine is confirmed to be sitting at a rail yard 15 miles from my dealer going on 3 days now. Released to trucking company but still no delivery. Talk about infuriating.
Mine's been sitting at the rail depot waiting for that last truck ride for a week now. Even if I get mine next week we're expecting freezing rain and snow all week so all I'll be able to do is crawl along.

It sucks, but it happens.

Yeah, that's true. We have a solid sheet of ice today down in Maryland. So while it is hard to wait, probably for the best just now.

I’m not worried about driving it next week during the snowpocalypse . But the roads are perfect clear for the moment. Instead of delivering it today and letting it rest comfortably in my garage, it will now get snowed on all day Monday and then sit there in single digits unplugged on a lot until next Thursday.

Well, it helps they have their own restaurant next door! I assume that is where the send you to wait for the paperwork or while getting service etc. Great idea and looking forward having that option for services etc. I assume if it is open, it is currently just outdoor dining or to go....but the menu looks pretty good. https://www.galpin.com/horselesscarriage/

Well.... As with anything related to FE deliveries, I received another call from the dealer today and apparently they had received another car with almost the identical VIN (difference being the check digit and some other digit). Alas, my car is still in transit and no pick up tomorrow. Flip side is that their FCTP car has yet to be delivered as well.

According to the dealer both are on some "in transit delay". Not sure what that means, but he may know more mid-next week.

The wait (saga) continues...
Stuck in the snow somewhere? ;)

Yeah, that's a pretty unusual situation. I've never seen a car dealership with it's own full restaurant. Helps being one of the biggest in the country, with their own rail spur. But 99.99% of dealerships don't have that luxury.

I haven't encountered an extended warranty for the high voltage battery pack before. Or did you mean the 12V battery?

If you don't mind sharing, can you share some details about this warranty?

What's it called, who provides it, how many years of coverage, and what are the premiums and deductibles?

Thanks!
