Are the people associated with the software for this car actually reading this site? I'd be delighted to know that they were.
Absolutely Ford employees are monitoring and sometimes posting on this site. If you pay attention, you know who some of them are. Others are less overt, but there is absolutely a great deal of focus on the success of the Mach E, and getting the pulse of customers.

To paraphrase the famous axiom: "No plan survives first contact with the customers".

This stuff will get figured out and fixed, and you can bet lots of Ford engineers are very busy right now.

If you think this is bad, you should see how buggy new commercial jets are!

At this point, you have two options: 1) decide that the excitement of having the shiny new toy before most of America does is awesome, or 2) decide that being an early adopter is not a good fit for you.

NO SHAME either way.

Personally, yeah, the bugs worry me that I might be faced with one, but I don't want to maybe have to wait another year before I get one!

What better time to be working out the bugs than during a pandemic when I am not really going anywhere anyway!

My MME - RED RING of charging, "Service Soon" on Dash, Powertrain fault in FordPass app. Everything appears to be fine, can charge, drive and go fast.

So the RROC is better than the BSOD, since the device still works!

For those of us who are engineers, this goes against our intuition. We want to have a place to read the 'vitals'. We want to learn what the baseline is so that we can more easily recognize when something is going down or to compare with others to help trouble-shoot. And they have all of this information at their disposal and won't
I remember many times when Darren said that the big map was addicting. If I want to know where I am, I’ll look out the window. I want a screen full of technical data. How much energy is going where. What is the temperature of everything, etc.

Very few problems with the MME itself. Many problems with the new connectivity.

I'm not really put off by the issues brought up so far. Sure, these are inconveniences for the owners, but they're still relatively isolated. Until there are 10,000+ MMEs out on the road, it's difficult to gauge reliability (at least with any reasonable statistical confidence).

I'll pass judgment only after there's real reliability data streaming in, and we probably won't see too much of that until later this summer or fall (at the earliest).
How can anyone say these issues are “relatively isolated”? You have no idea how many cars have been delivered, and no idea how many people have had issues. This forum is a sliver and a tiny fraction of the internet and overall population that ordered a MME. The bottom line is no one knows if problems are widespread or not. For the folks affected, they could care less if it’s a large problem, they want their cars fixed ASAP. I fear people are placing way too much faith in Ford. I’m not sure they’ve provided any evidence throughout this whole MME process that would provide any confidence that they’re on top of things. We’ll see what happens.

Do you work for Ford? Are the people associated with the software for this car actually reading this site? I'd be delighted to know that they were.
I can confirm they ARE.

With such a small numbers of delivery so far, there's already so many issues, seems the percentage is way too high?!
12v battery dead;
noise from the screen;
reduced speed on the road ( drive unit fail?)
PAAK not working properly;
charging speed on EA;

This really make me hesitate should I go with MME or should I wait, even after all the delay, Ford still have lots of HW and SW problems to be solved.
I always heard that you would never buy a car when on any forum with that car because you mostly hear about problems. I've got about 450 miles on mine and so far it's great. Very happy with my purchase.

Another note, so many MME are now hitting the road with no issues.
Oh god. I just got PTSD from that comment.
funny until it happens to you :)

my Xbox had the red ring of death, but thankfully the MME still boots up :)

Well, someone from Ford should step out and tell all MME buyers that they knew all these issues and here's the timeframe of fixing them, no matter by OTA or dealer. And all the cars hasn't been delivered will not have such issues. Otherwise they'll see more cancellation.

At least in Vancouver, there's no need to pre-order MME, many of them been cancelled and we can buy it from dealer at price lower than MSRP, I knew it because I talked to a dealer nearby, and the MME is sitting in the parking lot, unfortunately not the colour I want. My guess is ppl switched to Tesla, especially the standard range one.

So you just have to ask yourself how tolerant of issues are you? We are getting the very first builds of a new vehicle design built from the ground up...there will be things.
Not in the slightest, for me anyway.

I don't even want to go to the dealer to pick the car up, let alone to bring it back for service. I ordered Mach-E on the promise of an all-online purchase experience (not ready yet), PAAK (not working reliably yet), 150 kW DCFC (no preconditioning yet, so not really existent yet), and full OTA capability (not working yet, hence the "bring it back to the dealer" update FSA from last week).

I'm nervous about buying this car. I'm getting really really nervous.

If the trains would have sped up maybe I wouldn't be panicking and I'd have the car by now.
