I'll make this easier for you (via quick google search):
Infinite Blue also available on Explorer
Rapid Red also available on Explorer and F-150
Space White also available on F-150
Iconic Silver also available on Expedition and F-150
Carbonized Gray also available on F-150
Shadow Black also available on Everything
Star White also available on Explorer, Edge, F-150
The way I see it Grabber Blue is the only color that says 'Mustang'. Hope this helps!
Grabber Blue isn’t one of the choices. His choices are a blue-grey premium or $3600 more for a grey-grey first edition. Seems like an easy choice to me. If you want to spend an extra $3600 on the car, there are better ways to do it.

Hey folks,

I need some help! So I ordered my Premium back in June when the books opened up. Then the Mach Drop happened and I tried to order the First Edition. I never heard back from my dealer, so I assumed that the First Edition was a no go. Now, flash forward to this week, my dealer calls me to tell me that the First Edition did go through and will be here Monday. The Premium is scheduled for 03/05. The dealer is allowing me to pick which one I want as they are going to sell the other one (and obviously with ADM).

So my question is, which one should I choose? The Premium is AWD with Infinite Blue and Grey Interior. First Edition is Carbonized Gray with Black Interior and Red Stitching.

Do you all think the First Edition will have a better resale value?

Thanks in advance!
Which one do you WANT and can afford? Forget about resale, who knows. Even with the wider price gap, I am still very happy I am getting a RRFE and I think the gray is stunning too.

That’s the exact color and interior I got. The little touches like painted calipers and door sills that say first edition are nice. I’d get the First Edition

Similar story for me but the difference is $8200 because the Premium I ordered has the standard battery. For you the difference is $3200.

I decided on the FE
In my case the FE would be quicker than the PE I ordered so that is one reason. I also like the body colored wheel opening trim and mirror covers. I think I like the dash applique better.

The red stitching, pedal covers and painted brake calipers remind me of my 2005 GTO so I think I will enjoy a BEV version of that car. :)

Fully agree. Grabber Blue is the only reason I went with First Edition. If I had more patience, I would have switched to GT and have Grabber Blue roof as well.
I think you have provided the response to your reasoning here - you picked FE for the color. If you picked up the Premium and wanted to get it painted Grabber Blue it would likely cost you $7K or much more.

And color does play a role in resale, not necessarily value. There will be folks who won't touch it because it's Grabber Blue and then others who will specifically be looking for Grabber Blue.

As far as resale value, I think the trim will depreciate at a relative percentage as the other trims. If you're hoping to get that additional "fanboy-infused" value.. the trim would have to be scarce in supply and the popular demand would have to be there for a Used First Edition. I seriously, seriously doubt that will happen with FE.. there are going to be more choices for cool EVs in a handful of years.. the GT is more likely to have that demand.. but you never know.

I would go with the First Edition. Buy the car and enjoy it, not the residual or future value. Until I actually saw mine, I was questioning if the FE value was there or not. I knew I didn't like the glossy black wheel well lips and wanted body color. Black matte would have been my second choice but I didn't want a Select. The interior though surprised me the most. As a person who doesn't like a black interior I have to say the Black Onyx with red stitching is GORGEOUS. The money's spent, no going back, and now I'm just enjoying my FE with no regrets.

I have a Premium on order, but saw a Rapid Red FE and I needed to have that car. I search and found one, placed a deposit on the car and its suppose to be delivered by 2/26. Once I get the FE I will cancel my premium. The FE speaks for itself.

Similar experience - today I went in to order a Premium and there is an FE on the lot - they can't get the guy who ordered it on the phone. So they will offer it to me, but . . .

They are asking for $3K over MSRP, so $6600 more than the Premium I intended to order. They say another dealer in town got $10K over MSRP for a FE recently. I'd appreciate advice.

I mean, you're already considering paying a premium to get First Edition instead of Premium. So it's really up to you. Are you willing to pay another $3k over MSRP to get that car now? Is this a better move than your alternative choices? I think only you can decide that.

Just because someone else decided to jump off a cliff and go $10K over MSRP doesn't mean you necessarily should go $3K over. I would want to see definitive proof anyway. I love the dealer tactics to try to get you to justify ADM. Ultimately your decision, but I wouldn't go more than $1K over MSRP given the FE is already the additional amount over what you intended to pay. You have to decide if the unique touches are worth it to you, and keep in mind they likely won't be available on this configuration ever again. Lastly, can you afford it?
