This was sent to Rebecca after I had had it confirmed that the adaptive headlights were no longer going to be on the RWD ER. This exchange was on 12 May 2020

As I said, I am not that bothered about the loss of the adaptive headlights. I have them on my current Kuga and under normal circumstances they donā€™t make that much difference. The only time I really see them working is when its foggy.
My only concern is that Ford start to nibble at the specs, taking a little bit off every now and again. At the moment it is looks a very accomplished car. It would be a shame if our hopes of a well specā€™d attractive looking car get diminished.

Thanks all. So itā€™s looking promising!

Thought it would be an unusual mistake considering it is ā€˜VINā€™ specific.

Fingers crossed.
I would take "vin specific" with a grain of salt. My Kuga's handbook was supposed to be vin specific but my manual has a chapter about aux heater. Now that it is for the Scandinavian markets only!!!!

I can't wait for us to get our cars so we can actually discuss our real world experiences etc instead of talking about something that's currently just pictures and spec sheets!
I know what you mean! I did what will hopefully be my last petrol refuel on my Outlander PHEV today (first time since before Christmas due to limited lockdown miles which are mostly electric locally). I'll see if this tank can get me through to May!

What I find slightly hilarious is that we have ordered these cars and after all this time we're still not 100% sure what we are going to get when they actually arrive ?

Well, if you think it gets any better AFTER the car arrives then you are in for a surprise. :)

Did you manage to get more specific information from Lex or was that just from the driver portal? I placed my order with them late January and the current stock ETA on the portal is saying 23rd of July for me.

Good and not so good news for me. My car is on the ship which is good news but according to my dealer QC is for double check of the battery which donā€™t sound great!

I think that that was expected. Should be the 12v though so as long as they don't find a larger issue elsewhere which is causing the problem should be an easy fix. Change it.

My dealer hasn't told me this, is this a new open and honest Ford!

He actually almost swore an oath that he would never hold back on any info to me.

I will be very happy if they are checking batteries as we have seen some horror stories coming from the US about them and they have been sat around for at least 6months.
