So the error comes and goes?

What does the FordPass say the errors is?
Nothing came through on Ford Pass. When I noticed the fault, I hit OK to clear the screen and it went away. When I drove the car this morning, there was no fault. When I drove it again this afternoon, the fault came back after the car had been on for a few moments while I was parked before I drove it.

A Google search brings up issues with electronic door latches in Lincolns. Not finding anything on the Mach-E or in the Owners Manual.

I don’t know if this counts as a bug or not. The infotainment system was retaining most of my settings across restarts, but not the display light/dark/auto mode. Reverted back to “auto” on every restart, and the auto wasn’t working - the screen stayed light even at night.

I was able to fix the issue by creating a profile (although in doing so, I had to re-enter my other setting changes into the profile). Now the dark mode stays set.

Maybe this is how it was intended to work, but seems odd you need a profile to remember some settings but not others. So maybe it’s a bug with an easy workaround.

Either way, the “auto” mode seems to have a bug unless you save it to a profile - and then it works. Odd little quirk.

So Joel......you had the chance to use Electrify America chargers. From what we heard from Ford the first 5 charges are free. I did not know that we are treated as members of EA network. Can you share your experience please. I am planning a trip and have EA network on my scheduled stops to my destination. Not any time soon but soon I hope.
I have 2200 miles on my mach-e at this point and am out of credits, currently have spent over 5 hours on the phone with ford and 1 with EA trying to get the discounted rates via plug and charge, but no luck. even worse, I am a pass+ member with EA, but because you have to plug in first, I cant even use that if I have plug and charge set up with my care because as soon as I plug in it starts initializing at the guest rate via Plug and Charge, and I cant override it with the app unless I completely disable plug and charge (don't want to do that because its my wife's car and I want it to be easy for her).

I am beyond frustrated with ford because their support has bounced me all over the place, but what I have got from them is that I should be able to link both accounts, their training manuals say I can, but they can't figure out how to do it. So eventually we will get it, but not sure when.

I was having a similar issue. Basically, the front passenger door would not unlock or lock from the exterior. I could push the door open button, and I would hear an actuator fire (probably the door kick), but the door wouldn't unlock. Sometimes, if I pushed the door open button on the rear passenger door quickly enough, BOTH would open. The lock button on that same door would not work at all (as well as the driver's door). The car would lock and unlock through all other methods just fine.

Anyways, I took it to the dealer yesterday, and I got to be their guinea pig, since they said that they hadn't serviced any MMEs yet. After doing recall 21B02, they spent almost the entire day on the door locks. According to the dealer there were no service bulletins for the locks, so they were on the phone with Ford most of the day trying to sort it out. Just when I thought I was going to have to leave the car at the dealership overnight, they managed to fix it. It sounded like they had to reboot the system and apply a software update. Hopefully this means that, if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem, they at least have a plan on how to address it.
I have the exact same issue. It’s supposed to be under investigation. I wonder if they’ll issue a service bulletin based on what they did with your car

Wait - you’re saying Plug & Charge actually worked for you to use your credit? I think you should be getting some sort of certificate for that.

Plug and charge has worked super well for me out here in california, had a few disconnects, but it has actually worked super well in general. I've been to 8 different electrify america stations and this point and it has worked at every single station first try.

Has anyone had an issue with mirrors not folding in when locked? I’ve got the setting turned on, but when I lock the car, nothing. Wondering if I’m doing something wrong.
My mirrors aren’t folding, either. The setting is toggled on.

My lift gate foot sensor doesn’t seem to be working, either. I have the fob in my pocket while waiving my foot under the bumper, but nothing.

Thoughts?

I should have updated this issue. Turns out the dealership folded the mirrors out manually when the car arrived instead of letting the car do it when they unlocked it the first time thus the mechanism that folds them was not lined up correctly. When I folded them in manually, it clicked into place and has been working perfectly since.

So when you folded them in, did you leave them folded in, or did you pull them back out?

Looks like I’ll be taking my first trip to the service center! My mirrors are def broken. I’ve tried folding them in manually. Tried folding them out manually. Tried folding them back in. They’re not folding automatically. In fact, they’re currently projecting the pony lamps - unfolded - when I approach the locked car.

While I’m there I’ll check on the lift gate sensor, my “motion sensor off” setting refuses to stick - even in my profile - and just for grins I’ll add that my driver screen buzzes. Might as well “get my money’s worth” for the trip.

did you try doing the Hokey Pokey and turning the car around? because I'm told that's what it's all about.

I folded them in manually, then locked and unlocked the car, and the motor in the mirrors clicked into place and have worked since.

Didn't work. I can hear a plasticy click when I fold them and unfold them manually, but the motor mechanism is evidently not engaging. They have never folded or unfolded once since I bought it.

On another note, can anyone tell me the trick with the lift gate sensor?! I’m not even trying to use PAAK. My phone generally is in my pocket, but I also have the fob with me when I try the lift gate. It usually works for me, but only after I wave my foot back and forth under the bumper at least a half-dozen times. Surely it is supposed to work better than that?

I fixed the folding mirror issue. With the car in park and the mirrors extended, I pressed the button on the left driver's armrest (top left corner) to fold the mirrors. I think I actually had to press it two times. Each time I pressed I could hear the actuators working, and the second time the mirrors folded. Then I pressed a third time to fold them back out. When I locked the vehicle, the mirrors folded themselves. Perhaps (but unlikely) this may explain the inconsistent pony lamp issue.

The fickle lift gate sensor remains a mystery. I am wondering if maybe that is being caused by a conflict between the fob and PAAK. I suspect this also may be the culprit of the inconsistent pony lamps. I'll do some testing tonight.
