Lucky as my delaer is Dagenham.I have had a very thorough response from Hannah about some of my queries, I have gone back to her to clarify a few more questions. She said I could share her response here, so I hope this is useful:
I understand there is confusion on the forums, I have updated a couple of customers on this. Your Space White Mustang Mach-E is on board the Grande Florida.
As you may have heard, the boats are taking different routes. I am not updated on this regularly, and neither is the shipping team. It is only when I enquire, then I get updated. This is true for the Graal San Martin which now has the route of docking at Lagos, when it was previously suggested it wasnāt going anywhere near Lagos. As you can imagine I donāt like giving out information which is potentially false, as myself and my team only get told as and when enquired.
Iāve been on the case and I am getting even more involved with the shipping department as a whole to make sure this is amended as I only want to give the correct and most up to date info for everyone. An update from today shows me the Grande Florida will be estimated to arrive in Antwerp around the 22nd April. I am in the process of finding out exact routes, but as you can imagine, it is very hard to find out due to Ford not being in charge of the schedule.
The other enquiry recently has been that there are ONLY transits on the vessel. This is false. There is a number of Mustang Mach-Eās on the Grande Florida. European Transits are not made in Mexico, they are made in Europe.
After docking in Europe, all the vehicles are offloaded to Antwerp. Antwerp is the host of a new inspection centre, where all the vehicles are unloaded and have to pass a 50-point check before they can be released for delivery. This is to make sure there are no quality concerns and they can fine tune the car. They process up to 300 Mach-E models every day. There an electronic report is generated using an online inspection tool, which immediately reports any issues. That information is shared at the Ford CuautitlĆ”n stamping and assembly plant in Mexico, where all the Mustang Mach-Eās are manufactured.
The checks take an estimated 5-10 weeks turnover time. From Antwerp it then takes an estimated 6 days to ship to the UK. This means your estimated time can still be June. Overall, the cars go through 4 main checks. The only chance of the car ādisappearingā as such is the time between these checks. This cannot be tracked by myself or dealers. The status from āAntwerpā only changes when it leaves Antwerp, to Flushing (Belgium) and then finally arriving into Dagenham.
To save on fuel emissions and being more economically friendly to the environment, there is a very short wait at Dagenham for the cars to be loaded on transport that are going to the same places. You might be able to gauge it by the order of the boats that went into Antwerp. As the assumption is the first cars which arrived there will be among the first to leave but still bear in mind about the short wait at Dagenham.
Please feel free to share this information on the forums as I know it will help clear up confusion.
The information on the PICG grant is with your dealer, on whether it was put through or not. Please contact your dealer on the update of this.
Kind regards
Hannah
