Excellent to see a Rapid Red north of the border. Looks stunning ?. That’s the same spec that I’ve went for.
Did you get much notice the car was here prior to collection?

From info from Hannah last week I knew it was scheduled to arrive at the dealer on Monday. I called him on Tuesday and the transporter was just about to arrive. He called me later to arrange the collection for Thursday. The handover took 2 1/2 hours as there was an issue completing the finance due to the online ordering system. He eventually completed it manually. It was something to do with sighing online. Anyway it was sorted. He had nothing to tell me about the car that I didn't already know so once the deal was signed, we drove off. So happy with my choice.

I've read all about the standard ”creep" in US threads and how some people worry about close maneouvers like parking in a garage.

I concluded OPD is superior in that area too.

It's worth reading those threads before driving the car.

I guess I should have been clearer. It is the top seller year to date, even though it just started selling there like a month ago. The other models have been selling the whole year.
I've been watching it slowly climb up the ranks. Think it will be in the top 10 by the end of the year.

This means nothing to me as we sat here and watched priority being given to those places while our cars sat in compounds. They even posted youtube videos while my car which arrived on the same ship as theirs or before, was nowhere to be seen.

So i'm not sure why you're posting this in an UK forum? To what end?

It's been an extremely unpleasant experience and I just don't see the relevance to us.

I would like to be in a position where i'm happy for Ford that they have done so well in those markets but why would I care?

I think this obviously just identifies a hugh disconnect between your experience and mine?

This thread hasn't had any images for a while so here's one from me.

I picked up my car this morning. Too busy driving it to post here earlier. No issues that I can find so far. Fit and finish is fine. No buzzing from screen in front of driver. Brakes don't grab like the test car did. I'm very happy with it. Good luck to everyone else. Your cars can't be far away now and I'm sure you'll love them.

A happy update from me. I collected my car late this afternoon. All I can say is WOW. It’s all I hoped for and more. I love OPD. I used it from the start and have done 95 miles and only touched the breaks twice by habit rather than need. I don’t have my charger installed yet so I am using the 3 pin plug one and the current estimate to charge from 45% to 95% will take until 6:30pm tomorrow. Fortunately I have Centrica coming tomorrow to survey and hopefully install my wall box. Here are a couple of photos.

TBH I've driven cars with autoboxes for so long I actually like a bit of creep- it helps me to manoeuvre accurately when parking etc.
