I've had the car for just over three months and close to 5000 miles now.

I don't carry a keyfob and only use my iPhone (PAAK). With the exception of getting "key not detected" a few times AFTER I start my car, I have never had any other issue with PAAK. I do not have a profile set up (don't want to as I am the only one driving the car) and all my settings (including audio) always stay where I leave them.

CarPlay works flawlessly (wireless) and never have had to reboot Sync.
A couple of times my seat has not moved into position after I have started the car. The AC is very quiet, works really well and I am in over 100˚ temps every day.

While the car does not even come close to how my ICE Mustang handles, for an SUV type car I really like driving it. The fitment of body panels and quality of materials on this Mach-E is much better than my ICE Mustang.

I charge about 95% of the time at home but the few times I have charged away where always with EVgo and they connected right away and charged the car very fast.

All in all, extremely happy with the car.

I’ve posted several times about how this forum has given lots of people cold feet. But, my experience has been awesome. I’ve had Tesla owners and “car guys” both comment on the fit and finish of the Mach E. the transition was super easy for my wife (tech adverse) and now she drives it to work (night shift). She also gets free charging at her hospital.
it’s super quick, practical, and overall been a great upgrade from my 2008 Acura TSX (which was an amazingly reliable car). I plan to drive this into the ground like all my other cars.
oh and PAAK works great for me. Sometimes a delay but the phone needs to connect to the car and if either are asleep then I takes a wake up push of the button. I’ve recently connected it to Alexa to allow ,e to say to start the car and precondition. That helps with waking up the car before you get there.

Yeah, you're right. My MME is more reliable than my Windows machines, about as reliable as my Macs, and less reliable than my Linux boxes. Luckily this is all software.

I love and know tech, and I love an know my MME. I have to think that everyone who buys an MME (or Tesla) is a techie, because we're still all early adopters. If you can't troubleshoot your iPhone, you probably shouldn't buy an electric car today.
If you can't troubleshoot your phone, you probably shouldn't buy *anything* today. LOL

No range anxiety, no need to carry the spare charger - even on the standard range.

Get some paint protection or a wrap for the front, in under 250 miles I had some rock chip damage.

Beautiful car, no fatigue after 2.5-3+ hours driving due to the adaptive cruise control.

Came from an XC40, so it's not as agile, and has a wide steering radius, both she sure is pretty.

Make sure you ask about Ford Options otherwise you may get screwed and end up with a Red Carpet Lease that excludes you from a tax rebate.

Very quick, very strong AC (was hellish today) and overall a lovely car so far. PaaK gave me issues until the car updated itself twice, I deleted the iOS app, reinstalled and repaired.

If ford gave a second fob, or allowed those who purchased one online to program for free it'd be trouble free (so far)

Only worry was hearing buffeting and slamming on the roof on a hotter day, but so far that hasn't happened again.

Only problem is software issues. FordPass/Sync4A is not usable(ex.: still says my vehicle is a Ford Edge). No program should have this many flaws. Owners should not have to do battle with basic computer stuff. Resolved by always having fob in pocket. May be unacceptable to some, but we have carried fobs for may years.
Otherwise , the MME is thus far fun and a good deal. No problems.

I’ve had very few issues honestly.

PAAK is occasionally glitchy, but 98% of the time it works just as advertised.

DCFC? Works fine. I had one powertrain red icon during my first DCFC. It failed and I disconnected. I had read here that this was an occasional issue. I called Greenlots and they subsequently took the station down for mx. The powertrain warning was a transient thing went away and has never returned.

One missing CarPlay icon after one start. Nothing else was affected. It returned after I returned with my groceries. One time occurrence, never to be seen again.

The range is good, I’m averaging 3.7 miles/kWh. A bit misleading as I live in the side of a volcano, but it’s still quite good.

Seats are comfortable even with my aching back and damn this thing is quiet.

Quite happy with it.

Are some cars having problems? Yup, of course. But the vast majority of those will get resolved successfully and relatively quickly.

I've had my Mach-e since March and have over 10000 miles on it. I simply love it. No major problems at all. The only minor issue I've had is with the Paak... I found it drained the battery on my cell phone too quickly so I simply removed it from the Ford Pass app.

As I can tell from joining this forum there are a lot of different issues with the Mach E.

I know with a new model of car there are going to be some issues but there seems to be an inordinate amount of issues with this vehicle.

I would like to hear from some owners that have had the vehicle for several months or more that have used and understand the tech in the vehicle.

Not using the tech like PAAK and dismissing the issues with this feature because you don't really like tech is not really a positive for the vehicle.

The last post I read with the car dying on the gentleman coming down a mountain is a serious issue.

Parts availability for the gentleman with the accident is unacceptable!

CarPlay? Does it, or does it not work all of the time?

I really want to purchase this car but every time I come on here there's another issue.

Someone with some time/miles on this car, who likes and knows tech, tell me something good.

In the end, these EVs are computers driving electric motors. The reliability of the tech is the heart of the car.
Received my Mach-E AWD ER on February 9. I had some challenges the first two weeks--all were resolved by reading the manual (sometimes with help from this forum). These had to do with things like learning the difference between lane keeping and lane centering, learning how/where to kick to open the back, etc. PAAK works well, Apple Car Play works flawlessly. Everything is working exactly as it should! By the way, I drove 301 miles with AC on full time with my last charge before deciding that it was probably time to charge since the GOM was estimating only 20 miles of range left. Not bad for a car rated for 270 miles.

I'll be picking my MME this week and enjoyed reading this thread. All vehicles have their issues, if you stop and think about the engineering, and all the things that have to go right just for a vehicle to start, it's amazing! I'm confident this will be a great vehicle for me. Thanks all!

Just hit 5000 miles and still loving my IB MME. I started as a novice but made it a point to learn about and use all the available tech. I gradually weaned myself from the fob and use PAAk exclusively now. The only occasional frustration for me is knowing that it initially worked perfectly before all the updates to FordPass; so it’s been hard experiencing updates making the tech worse, not better. An accurate reflection of charging now is my biggest issue, but I’m hopeful they will work the bugs out again eventually. I find when I use Apple CarPlay, sometimes other things turn on by themselves, but I just turn them off. It helps to be flexible and learn to find which way works best for you as, like all computers, there are always more that one way to do a task. I’ve been trying not to read so much about all the things that can go wrong, but have been keeping aware of each so that I know how to troubleshoot if these things do happen to me. It’s a lot like using my computer for work. My colleagues that haven’t embraced it usually falter; but those that remain patient and flexible usually figure it out and make the tech work for them. Someone in the second group will probably enjoy this vehicle much more. It is a fun and comfortable vehicle to drive, so I am still loving it so far and still can’t wait to get in it every day.

I have the MME for 6 weeks now, no serious problems, paak works fine sometimes small delay, charging is fine, ride is super.
Only problem I have is that I want to be in the loop and read this forum and a Dutch one, you are not feeling happy because most posts are about problems, some serious but some are really nitpicking.
Would I buy again, no doubt...

Love mine, PAAK is not reliable for me, but I have an old LG V20 phone, going to set my wife up she has newest iPhone. I like the grades given earlier.

A = hardware engineering
B= software engineering
D = Ford online website, status, and help chat, useless don't even bother
C = dealership, I think I'm the 6th one in Huntsville so sort of expected them to be behind the knowledge

TLDR: 2 cars, 9000 miles, no problems. Sometimes the system needs to be turned off and back on again or people need to have a little patience while the system boots up or handshakes with the peripherals.

My experience:
Bought the Wife’s red MME in February. Enjoyed it so much that I bought my black MME in March. She does the Mom taxi thing in her’s and now has 6000 miles driven. I have 3000 miles on mine. Mostly I just commute and make the occassional store run in mine. Neither of our cars have had a single problem.
PAAK… who cares? If this is a make or break feature for you, then this isn’t your thing… yet. I didn’t buy these cars to not carry a fob. I even bought an extra for each car. That said, my dealer updated my wife’s car last week and mine is being updated today so I’ll see how it goes.
Settings that don’t stay set, I found the solution right here on the forum and as much as people don’t want to believe setting the door buttons forces it to remember, it worked for both my MME’s.
Apple CarPlay… the first week of ownership, it wouldnt connect wirelesly. But plug in to the USB-C port and it was instantaneous. And the phone charges better plugged in. After the first week, it connects every time. May take 30 seconds, but it works. I think the complainers are expecting it to connect before the system even boots up.
Ride too stiff…. Not if your used to driving an American muscle car. They are traditionally stiff. Add how heavy this is and the stiffness is a bonus to keep the car connected to the ground.
DCFC doesn’t connect??? Wife has had a slow charge once. It was on the way home from picking it up in Vermont. it was 20 degrees out and we assume the battery was ? cold. I had a station fault at a chargepoint station once, it was the machine’s problem. When I called chargepoint they took the station out of service for maintenance. EA plug and Charge has worked every time for us, though we’ve only charged away from home a handful of times. Charging at home or work is amazing. Never have to worry about range for daily drives when you’ve got 250 miles of range every morning without having to stop at a gas station.
Can‘t do road trips? Sure you can. It does take a little planning. It may take a little extra time. But I am enjoying stopping every 3 hours. More than that and I start to get cranky and want to stretch and get a drink and take a piss. I don’t want to drive for 6 hours straight without stopping.
The frunk is unusable because I have to pull a handle inside to open it? Same way the hood on every car I’ve ever owned works.

Have had mine since Feb 7th, about 5,300 miles on it so far. No major issues, still absolutely love the car.
