UPDATE 1

Dealership managed to replace the battery for me with a new one. He hasn't said much as far as other tests. I basically need to fly back to Denver to pick her up over the weekend (because I'm working in L.A. this week) and get the full details to see if they performed all checklists and software updates. Once I drive back to LA I'm gonna take it to my original dealership to get her serviced and check out make sure everything is good to go!

@Mach-Lee I believe you may be right about the early builds being sat too long before delivery and that the battery would go bad.

Only time will tell if the problem gets resolved, just as long as I make it back home safe and sound.

I'm in Denver. What dealer did you take it to?

I was reading the description, so does it work for this battery knowing it's AGM? It looks promising and will probably order it
Battery chemistry is only really important with charging, AMG takes a higher voltage than Led Acid to charge.

The item linked is just a lithium jump pack and should work the same as a larger AGM/lead jump pack. The only difference is that power at the jump leads is usually limited to like 30 sec intervals on the Lithium packs.

Did the dealer just have HV battery in stock for you? Thats amazing and lucky, unless they replaced LV Battery (12v)?

Ok cool, so it's a good buy to have it and it'll work?

When charging you have to make sure car is not in accessory mode.
Could you supply more data on this recommendation? Did someone tell you this? Read it? Ford recommendation? I have sat in my car and charged with A/C running on Accessory Mode, no issues?

When plugged into a charger (240VAC or DC High Voltage Charge) the onboard vehicle charger is reasonable for the High Voltage battery charging. The Battery management module is responsible for controlling the DC to DC converter that charges the 12 VDC battery. DC to DC converters,
converter HIGH VOLTAGE (350VDC to 400 VDC) to 12 VDC. Most if not all BEV vehicles have this type of system. I would think software management issues are the main culvert, but there is such thing as bad batteries for sure! Replace the 12 VDC battery and check all software updates pertaining the the 12 VDC charging scheme! Of course IMHO!

I forget to share an update, hopefully this clear things up. So I got the 12v battery replaced with a new one. I drove it back to LA from Denver. I make it back home safely. After I finished unloading my stuff, I go back to my car to park my car in my garage, only to find the 12v battery once again drained! We tried jump starting it with an industrial strength jumper to no avail. Right now I have the vehicle serviced to my original dealership where I purchased the car. They are finally having an engineer take a look at the car. They are the only ones that understood that the 12v battery isn't getting its charge.

To add about the full accessory mode while charging: prior to this problem for 4 months, I've never had this issue. I've always had the ac running and full accessory mode on while charging at EA or EVGo. So unless I'm missing some crucial data, I don't think having full accessory mode is the issue.

Keep us updated, I'm really interested in the fix for sure!

Have them perform TSB 21-2245 as a start. Details: https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...d-mil-with-dtc-p1a10-u0293-and-or-u1011.8323/

@Angelnx1985 Any update to your issues? My FE is in the shop for the second time for the same issues. The service center said they are waiting for Ford Tech Support to get back to them… Ive had the LVB TSB and PAAK updates. I told them about the TSB 21-2245 and they said they dont have to do it since they already completed the LVB TSB. I’m at a loss.

Hey, sorry for super late reply. It's been 7 weeks since it's been at the dealership. The only update I have is that they had the engineers come fly down here to look at the car. That was in August 23rd. Nothing else has been done to the car since. I had to call Ford corporate to open an investigation because I feel they haven't been taking this issue seriously. Last I been told is that they are still diagnosing the problem. I am supposed to get an update tomorrow from the investigator. I guess the other thing I can say is that they tried testing out everything to no avail. According to the engineers it's most likely a programming issue.

I'll be happy to give you an update once I receive them. Sorry you're also having same issue as well! Is your mach-e an early build as well prior Feb 3rd?
