I am sure you know this but once the embargo lifts, the videos will not be as valuable so time is of the essence. (Plus I would love to see them ;) )

I have no idea when the embargo will lift (or if the reviews are even done yet) so maybe it is any minute or maybe weeks from now or maybe there haven't been any professional reviews done yet.

Course @Mach-E VLOG would know better than most of us.
From the other YouTubers I talked to, it doesn't sound like many people (if any) are getting a chance to get a press review car. It seems like all GTs being made are customer cars and the press will have to find an owner if they want to do a review or get video. I'm guessing there may be exceptions for bigger organizations like Motor Trend.

Good to know.

Maybe Ford doesn't see the GT as a major release like it did the non-GT Mache's.

I think mostly it is because the GTs reservation holders have been waiting so long and the time crunch to get out the 2021 models to customers is a priority. I'd love to see a bunch of reviews, but I bet people with orders are more anxious to get their GTs. I bet there will be lots of review cars in the new model year.

Mike Levine confirmed via Twitter. The review embargo is likely more for the journalists to have a fair opportunity to get time with the vehicles so one doesn't get ahead of the others. Doesn't matter if customers have the cars, they need the cars in the hands of the journalists and if there aren't enough, they need time to get the few cars they have rotated around to all of them.

Saturday 8/21/21 Update:
I have some fantastic initial driving videos / review including 0-60, but found my YouTube channel can't monetize and could take a month to be approved. What to do? If someone, site, or YouTube channel can help publish and share, we can talk. I have many videos already.

Delivered late afternoon today (Thurs, 8/19/21)...
2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition in Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat
Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

It came two weeks earlier than expected!

Some commentary after a day of work, few pics, and letting a few friends drive:
  • The dark grey color is lighter in the pictures than seeing in person, so I think it does look cooler in person.
  • I've let a couple other EV techies drive it today and they are exhilarated
  • Intense laughter when stomping on the go pedal
  • "Feel it in the gut."
  • Like a roller coaster and space shot
  • Tight control - great stability
  • Steering wheel feels fantastic, for a race car.
  • 15 minutes later: I can still feel that power in my gut!
  • Heavy sense of regeneration, ie. let go of pedal and can definitely feel it actively slowing down, not coasting. (probably not specific to the GT PE)
  • I have to adjust power response expectations in traffic - such as goosing it to pass - need to ensure I've already changed lanes before goosing it, otherwise intense acceleration sneaks up too fast to car in front.

Updated with complete specific timeline:
  1. November 2019 - Reservation
  2. May 1st, 2021 - Ordered
  3. End of June 2021 - notice of build date the week of July 18th
  4. July 18th - Aug 9th - Status was Building in progress
  5. August 10th - Status changed to shipping with estimated delivery Aug 31st - Sept 6th.
  6. August 12th - Estimated delivery improved by two days to Aug 29th - Sept 4th.
  7. Continued with that for about week, approximately. On PALSAPP, only appearing a Freight Bill number and pending.
  8. August 17th PALSAPP changed to dispatched, but no estimated delivery date.
  9. August 19th PALSAPP changed to delivered in late morning. I called the dealership and they confirmed.
  10. Vehicle was EXTREMELY dusty - probably dust collected from Mexico to Texas to Kansas City.
  11. Got feeling a few dealership employees got to drive / do the pre-deliver inspection, which is fine by me. Spread the fun.
  12. Finalized paperwork and left dealership by 5:45pm, clean as a whistle

oooooohhhhhhhh, I wonder if I can buy GT seats 'separate'..... This would be the mo betta solution to aftermarket performance seat (with side airbags).

Yes, on the large dashboard screen, there is an ability to open the frunk. I'm not so sure that's very useful, as the lever is just right there anyhow in the under dash to the left. I cannot see an option to open anything remotely within Ford Pass app - maybe not looking in right place, so if anyone has info the app can open the rear hatch then I assume that's the place it will show up to open the frunk too.

Too bad, the key fob has no button to open the frunk, but perhaps a combination of buttons will open it. I will further look in the user manual as there may have been something in there. The keyfob has a button to open the rear hatch.

The keyfob does not have a separate button for remote start, which I was used to on my 2016 Ford Explorer Platinum. Maybe there's a separate combination to remote start from the keyfob. I know the Ford Pass app can remotely start, but sometimes that not as convenient.
Thanks. It's good to see confirmation that the frunk software solutions will come to all of us soon. You should see the control appear in the FordPass app soon, probably when they push the software to open the frunk to all of us.

Nothing to remote start the key from the fob in the manual. My guess is Ford will probably just leave the frunk opening and remote start as FordPass app features and not have them in the fob.

Matt Farah of The Smoking Tire replied to me some time ago when he bought his Silver Mach E that he had already confirmed a GT to review, but he won't answer when I've asked when he'll be able to talk about one, so I don't know what to make of that....

You don't see people putting out reviews for e.g. Ecoboost, GT, Mach 1, GT500, etc, Mustangs? This isn't like a Lariat vs a Platinum.
You see range test videos for pretty much every Mach E configuration.
