Ordered 7/15/20 still not delivered

OK. Having them engaged is key since it's a sale they are not getting so they want the car to arrive too.

The MME is rail shipped from the plant in Mexico, and if I recall correctly the trantit time to me here in Arizona was about 3 months. I assume the time to your location will be longer since you are farther north and east, so Feb to September does seem a bit long but not super outrageous to me. I now that's not the same as waiting for your new car when every day feels like a week; just trying to add some perspective.

Ours was made 5/20. Dealer prepped it 6/16. Michigan.

Sorry to read this. Something is fishy. Escalate it to the big shots at Ford. They will get to the bottom of this or get you a ne car built with the highest priority. Especially with the visibility this forum has. Keep us updated with any news you get

Where do I find my order number? The one I have has 8 digits but the tracker uses a 4 digit order number.

I sure hope so. I’ve gotten a response from Mike Levine (a FoMoCo) communications guy that they are looking into it. Honestly, with the number of times we’ve contacted Ford Customer service I can’t believe we haven’t been flagged/contacted months ago.

Has anyone else experienced a delay this long? My parents ordered their Mach-E over a year ago (7/15/20), build was complete 2/24/21 but they still don’t have it. At this point my parents are worried the car they eventually receive will be a lemon.
Thanks to the suggestion of another user I messaged Mike Levine on Twitter and he got back to me quickly to let me know he’s looking into it.

I went to the Ford dealership where I got my MME from and spent some time talking to sales guy who sold me the car and he said that there're lots of cars ready to ship but have no chip. It seems like the chips are the last things to go on the car. Hang tight, it's coming.

Looking at your original post, I see your car was built 2/24. There was not a shortage of modules for the assembly line back then. There were chip shortages which curtailed production rates but they had the parts.

It’s more likely there was a quality control issue that needed rectifying such as software or misaligned panel or even a minor dent that requires a new panel. Or it could simply have gotten lost in the parking lot. Your dealer might be able to see the issue in the VVR if it goes back far enough.

Whatever it was, the issue seems to have been resolved or rye car would not be “almost” there.

Go over it with a fine toothed comb when you get it. Write the Ford customer experience people and enjoy the car.

Yeah, it’s been “almost here for 2 months” definitely odd.

The cars are still at Ford for that, but it is one the last steps of manufacturing.

Ford just doesn't have this communication setup, who knows if they every will. I'd probably walk away from this mme as sitting in train yards and mystery parking lots means the finish could have major exposure damage. Mine was not clean and had to clay it.

My RR ER was also built in mid/late February, also for delivery in VA. It set an hour away for at least a week. I wanted to drive up and get it myself! Apparently the trucks won't transport until they have a fullI truck (that's what I was told). Even with that kind of delay, I received it late April. Ford Corp definitely owes you an explanation.
