Seeing some walk around and demos of the F150 Pro today. Pre-production of course but pretty impressive and if they hold the price it will be equal to a current F150 XL. I'm not planning to jump on it for a few years, but these changes and advance are why I think the options program works well.

Yeah, very interesting for sure.
The trunk is the most impressive feature IMO.
Having the battery and motor temp displayed on the instrument cluster comes in a close second for me.

The loading meters are a great idea also.

And that right hand charging port is pretty cool too.....

Super excited about the Lightning. Put in a reservation on 6/3 well before we ordered the Mach-e for my wife. The recent leak about production numbers had me disappointed (longer wait than I had been hoping), but I am still all in.

Ya car production is messed up for at least a year, guess I got lucky with my MME.

I reserved about 2 weeks after launch and I was ready for a 2 to 2.5 year wait, but the new numbers mean it could be 3 to 5 years. All depends if Ford can hit their new (still low) targets, what the reservation conversion rate is, and how many commercial buyers there are.

Wow, of course that wait is crazy, good luck for sure.

Its not apples-to-apples comparison. Mach-E and F150 are completely different niches unless you live in state where truck is a commuter vehicle (hello Texas! :) ).
However, the limitation I see in F150 EV is the 400v battery and its 150kW max charging rate. It's OK for a compact SUV like Mach-E/ID.4, but not enough for a truck. It will take more time to fill up its bigger battery.

I don't think that thing on the passenger side is a charging port. Other than that it's a pretty impressive vehicle. And supposedly Ford is already working on gen 2 for 2025. So for those who don't get it right away, this may be a blessing in disguise.

I might have considered it, I drive a Ram 1500 crew cab 6'4" bed, so I'm use to a tank, lol.

The video says the truck comes with a faster charger then the MME, but recharge on road is a good comment.

I have been following the Lightning obsessively. The biggest difference in charging is that it appears (from available numbers) that the Lightning holds a 150kw charging rate all the way up to 80 percent - no ramp down with a charging curve. That is the only way you can fill that big battery as fast as Ford is claiming (just a couple minutes longer than the Mach-e)

The right hand charge port is a fake to make the truck look balanced. I’ve seen them up close. Like “you can’t touch it, but look as close as you want” close.

I haven't followed, and my MME was ordered in Feb, so I'm late to the game. I made a cybertruck order Nov 2019 too, haven't canceled it yet as I'm curious how it will work out.

I was able to touch it. The fender is stamped for an opening and there is a blank popped in the RH side. Makes me wonder why make the tooling to stamp that hole if it is going to remain as a blank?

The trunk is impressive. Actually much more practical than I expected.
Battery pack is huge. Seems much larger than 125kWh to me. Maybe 145kWh? I guess we'll find out in a few months....

Not sure about the consumer model but the fleet version comes with a back seat driver in the infotainment system. :) Pretty funny. I would love to hear the NY or NJ version..... :)

That is why I ordered the Hummer, 800V/350KW charging. GM will be going that way for all their EV trucks, but not the cars. It will be interesting to see what Tesla does with Cybertruck, currently the Superchargers only support 480V.

And yet Ford says the Lightening ER will DCFC in 41 minutes (15%-80%)
Or 8 hours on L2 (excluding Platinum trim).
